This area is
particularly
well known
for its music
events. Swanage hosts annual jazz, folk and
blues festivals featuring world-class artists. Two new
events launched last year were the Wareham Music
Festival and the Purbeck Folk Festival, offering fine
music and camping in the Purbeck hills.
Jazz Festival
Lulworth Castle also plays host to Camp Bestival, a
music festival aimed at families – or come and relive
medieval times at the Castle with jousting events
throughout the summer.
The Swanage Regatta and Carnival Week creates
a lively atmosphere, a Caribbean-style carnival,
spectacular fireworks, music and dancing to suit
