Dual mode storage combi boilers with solar central<br />

heating backup<br />

Dual mode storage combi condensing boilers for solar central<br />

heating backup are factory-assembled and consequently easy<br />

to install. Suitable versions are on offer for regions with a<br />

variable solar yield.<br />

Automatic hydraulic balancing<br />

A system based on wireless technology is available for certified<br />

hydraulic balancing which handles this requirement automatically<br />

in a fraction of the time usually required. The test report forms<br />

the basis of the application for KfW subsidies.<br />

Modular cascade solutions with up to eight appliances<br />

Pre-assembled cascade modules comprising one or two<br />

appliances can be assembled into combinations offering various<br />

output profiles. Up to eight appliances can be installed in series<br />

or in a space efficient block formation.<br />

Economical combined heat and power from 1 kW el<br />

The micro CHP appliance with 1 kW el is the perfect choice for<br />

supplying heat and generating power for own consumption in<br />

a detached house. A mini CHP module with 5.5 kWel and a<br />

full-blown CHP module with 20 kWel are designed for higher<br />

power and heat demands in apartment buildings and commercial<br />

enterprises. Exceptionally long service intervals of up to<br />

6000 hours ensure particularly high economy.<br />

CHP module and biomethane in a single package –<br />

even more economical and environmentally responsible<br />

For the first time, a combined heat and power module is<br />

offered in conjunction with a supply contract for biomethane.<br />

Through exporting eco power into the grid, users obtain<br />

a higher remuneration in accordance with the Renewable<br />

Energy Sources Act.<br />

Biomass boiler with unique, two-stage combustion principle<br />

A new biomass boiler of medium <strong>range</strong> output can burn either<br />

woodchips or pellets. The speed of the motorised flat moving<br />

grate adjusts to dry moist biomass.<br />

Turnkey biogas plants in a modular design<br />

Biogas plants with CHP modules in a modular design provide<br />

even smaller agricultural enterprises with solutions for the<br />

generation of power from biogas that suit their individual<br />

demand.<br />

Whisper quiet heat pumps<br />

With up to 42 dB(A) our heat pumps are as quiet as a fridge.<br />

Our motto at the ISH Energy 2011 is short<br />

The challenge: climate protection and<br />

energy supply<br />

Climate protection and concerns over future<br />

security of energy supplies are central<br />

challenges of our time.<br />

It is for this reason that measures aimed at<br />

improving energy efficiency and to extend<br />

the use of renewables in buildings, which are<br />

the largest consumers of energy, are not just<br />

a political aim. System users and investors,<br />

likewise, share this interest, as they create an<br />

assurance of supply and reduce running costs.<br />

Market developments are determined by<br />

political framework conditions<br />

At the European level, the Energy Performance<br />

of Buildings Directive (EPBD) lays down strict<br />

requirements that must be met by 2020. In<br />

concrete terms, this means that the passive<br />

house will become the obligatory standard;<br />

for buildings in the public domain this already<br />

applies from 2018. Member states are obliged<br />

to adopt the EPBD into their national law.<br />

In Germany, this adoption takes the form of<br />

a step by step tightening of the Energy Saving<br />

Ordinance (EnEV).<br />

In addition, all member states are also going<br />

to formulate their own requirements for<br />

existing buildings. In this connection, the<br />

German Federal Government has already<br />

presented its energy concept last September,<br />

which takes a view up to 2050.<br />

In the long term, even existing buildings<br />

should become CO2 neutral and be able to<br />

operate with 20 percent less primary energy<br />

demand than today. This means that the<br />

passive house standard will also be applied<br />

to existing buildings and the residual head<br />

demand will be covered by renewables.<br />

Predominantly, power and heat will increasingly<br />

come together, and decentralised power<br />

generation in combined heat and power<br />

systems – including the use of biomass and<br />

biogas – will grow in importance.<br />

Release the modernisation backlog<br />

Our initial task is to release the modernisation<br />

backlog and to raise the existing minimum<br />

potential as quickly as possible.<br />

Powerful and compact heating centre –<br />

including solar operation<br />

Vitosolar 300-F is a powerful unit for solar<br />

central heating backup and DHW heating. This<br />

unit comprises a 750 l combi cylinder and a<br />

base unit with all relevant pipework for the<br />

direct installation of an oil condensing boiler.<br />

Easy to install – all in one<br />

The Vitosolar 300-F is factory-prepared for<br />

trouble-free installation. The mounting panel<br />

is already pre-assembled with heating circuit<br />

distributor, Solar-Divicon, thermally insulated<br />

pipework and shut-off valves.<br />

Optional connection of a second heating<br />

circuit distributor. All connections can be<br />

routed out of the unit to the right or left,<br />

subject to the space available. In addition,<br />

the complete thermal insulation and a visually<br />

appealing casing are part of the standard<br />

delivery.<br />

This easy to install solution not only saves<br />

time, but also offers a high degree of<br />

engineering and calculation assurance.<br />

One control unit for all systems<br />

Contrary to other systems of this kind, the<br />

Vitosolar 300-F energy centre is supplied with<br />

just one control unit – the Vitotronic 200. This<br />

delivers all required functions and is perfectly<br />

matched to the heat source and the solar thermal<br />

system. The solar yield is shown on the<br />

control unit display to assist in collating the<br />

energy statement. This enables convenient<br />

operation from one central programming unit.<br />

<strong>Efficient</strong> and eligible for subsidies<br />

In connection with solar central heating<br />

backup, the requirements specified by the<br />

Renewable Energies Heat Act and the<br />

EWärmeG (Baden-Württemberg) are met.<br />

The investment can be subsidised using<br />

public BAFA funds. Electricity savings of<br />

up to 70 percent, compared to conventional<br />

pumps, are achieved by employing variable<br />

speed HE pumps (Energy Label A) for both<br />

The Vitorondens 222-F is a floorstanding<br />

oil condensing storage combi boiler with<br />

an integral DHW cylinder for high DHW<br />

convenience. Its cylinder has a capacity of<br />

130 litres (20.2 and 24.6 kW) or 160 litres<br />

(28.9 kW). Its compact dimensions make<br />

the Vitorondens 222-F an ideal choice<br />

for modernisation projects, as all main<br />

components such as the DHW cylinder<br />

and the burner are delivered separately,<br />

to make handling on site easier.<br />

High reliability through proven<br />

components<br />

The Vitorondens 222-F is based on the cast<br />

iron Vitorond 100 boiler, that has been proven<br />

condensation take place in two physically<br />

Vitosolar 300-F is a powerful unit for solar<br />

central heating backup and DHW heating.<br />

This unit comprises a 750 l combi cylinder<br />

and a base unit with all relevant pipework for<br />

the direct installation of a wall mounted gas<br />

condensing boiler.<br />

Easy to install and complete<br />

The Vitosolar 300-F is factory-prepared for<br />

trouble-free installation. The mounting panel<br />

is already pre-assembled with heating circuit<br />

distributor, Solar-Divicon, thermally insulated<br />

pipework and shut-off valves.<br />

Optional connection of a second heating<br />

circuit distributor. All connections can be<br />

routed out of the unit to the right or left,<br />

subject to the space available. In addition,<br />

the complete thermal insulation and a visually<br />

appealing casing are part of the standard<br />

The Vitosolar 200-F gas condensing storage<br />

combi boiler is the only storage combi boiler<br />

in the world that has solar central heating<br />

backup, designed for installation inside the<br />

living space. With a width of 60 cm (kitchen<br />

unit size), it fits neatly into kitchen or utility<br />

room alike.<br />

All essential components are fully plumbed<br />

and wired to ensure fault-free and rapid<br />

installation. To make handling this storage<br />

combi boiler easier, the condensing boiler<br />

and the buffer cylinder can be transported<br />

separately to the installation site. Clearances<br />

to the side for maintenance and service are<br />

not required.<br />

Integral solar connection and control unit<br />

The Vitosolar 200-F gas condensing storage<br />

combi boiler is already prepared for the easy<br />

connection of solar collectors. Vitosol 100-F<br />

flat-plate collectors or Vitosol 200-T vacuum<br />

tube collectors from <strong>Viessmann</strong> can be<br />

connected directly.<br />

The control module for regulating the<br />

condensing boiler and the solar thermal<br />

system is already integrated. All functions<br />

are matched to one another and have been<br />

factory tested. The solar yield is displayed<br />

graphically on the appliance display.<br />

With a possible solar coverage of up to<br />

14 percent, the gas consumption otherwise<br />

High DHW convenience<br />

The DHW is heated according to the<br />

instantaneous water heater principle<br />

(combi boiler). The buffered heating water,<br />

heated by solar energy, enables hot water<br />

to be available immediately at a temperature<br />

Time saved through easy process<br />

Experience tells us that the hydraulic balancing<br />

of a heating system is frequently omitted on<br />

account of the amount of effort it takes. On<br />

the other hand, it is required in accordance<br />

with the heating system regulations and the<br />

VOB, and must be confirmed by a contractor<br />

certificate. This verification must also be<br />

presented if a KfW subsidy is applied for.<br />

This process is now significantly easier using<br />

the automated hydraulic balancing function<br />

of the Vitodens 300-W gas condensing boiler.<br />

For this purpose, the appliance is equipped<br />

with facilities for measuring the flow rate and<br />

the differential pressure. This data is then<br />

exchanged between the integral wireless<br />

gateway of the Vitodens 300-W and the<br />

Vitosoft 300 service program.<br />

For automatic hydraulic balancing, contractors<br />

firstly need a laptop plus the <strong>Viessmann</strong><br />

service case, wireless actuators and the<br />

Vitosoft 300 service software.<br />

Certified balancing for subsidy<br />

programmes<br />

Balancing is easy. Initially, the contractor<br />

enters space-specific details into the<br />

Vitosoft 300 program running on the PC,<br />

such as heat demand, radiator size and type<br />

of thermostatic valves.<br />

Then, the thermostatic valves installed on site<br />

are replaced by the marked wireless service<br />

actuators, after which the test procedure is<br />

started via the Vitosoft 300 service software.<br />

The Vitosoft 300 automatically captures the<br />

necessary measurements required for the<br />

current hydraulic balancing. The time required<br />

for a system with, for example, ten radiators<br />

is now only one hour – in other words,<br />

a fraction of time taken previously. The<br />

entire test proceeds automatically.<br />

After completion of the TÜV-certified<br />

process, the pre-settings for each radiator<br />

valve are reported by the Vitosoft 300 in<br />

hard copy form. This provides the user with<br />

the necessary verification for an application<br />

for KfW subsidies. Finally, it remains<br />

only to set all determined values at the<br />

thermostatic valves.

The Vitodens 200-W gas condensing boiler<br />

from 45 kW is the bedrock of a new modular<br />

cascade system with output ranging from<br />

17 to 840 kW. To cover this wide output<br />

<strong>range</strong>, up to eight Vitodens 200-W can<br />

be linked in a single cascade. In case of<br />

installation in block formation, a footprint<br />

of only 3.5 m² is all that is required for the<br />

maximum output of 840 kW.<br />

Simple and quick installation<br />

The new cascade unit comprises a few easy<br />

to manage modules that can be quickly<br />

handled and assembled. Generally, a selfsupporting<br />

mounting frame is part of the<br />

standard delivery. With the Vitodens 200-W,<br />

an efficient heating system is created that<br />

offers a high level of heating and DHW<br />

convenience that is ideal for modernisation<br />

projects in the commercial sector. A low loss<br />

header is available as an option.<br />

Every appliance in the cascade can be<br />

supplied with HE pumps for an even more<br />

economical operation. This option enables up<br />

to 70 percent of electricity costs to be saved,<br />

compared to conventional pumps.<br />

The Vitopend 111-W gas boiler with an integral<br />

DHW cylinder, offers the highest draw-off<br />

rate amongst wall mounted appliances, and a<br />

constant outlet temperature. For this purpose,<br />

a stainless steel primary store with 46 litres<br />

capacity, and an electronic outlet temperature<br />

controller are integrated. In addition, this<br />

appliance is distinguished by its favourable<br />

price/performance ratio.<br />

The Vitopend 111-W delivers large amounts<br />

of hot water in next to no time. A standard<br />

bath (140 litres), for instance, fills in less than<br />

ten minutes. A shower fitting, a kitchen sink<br />

or a washbasin, for example, can be supplied<br />

with water, at the temperature of use,<br />

simultaneously.<br />

Simple operation<br />

The heating water and DHW temperatures<br />

can be set intuitively with the user friendly<br />

rotary selectors. The graphic display shows<br />

In the tidy and forward-oriented wiring chamber,<br />

product amongst floorstanding gas condensing<br />

As a single boiler, it is the most powerful<br />

condensing boiler in the comprehensive <strong>range</strong><br />

from <strong>Viessmann</strong>. This makes it just as suitable<br />

for residential complexes as for local heating<br />

networks, larger public and commercial<br />

buildings and industrial plants.<br />

The combustion chamber was developed<br />

in close cooperation with renowned burner<br />

manufacturers to achieve an optimum burnout.<br />

The Inox-Crossal heat exchanger enables it to<br />

The Vitomax 200-HW is an oil/gas high pressure<br />

hot water boiler for flow temperatures in<br />

excess of 120 °C and an operating pressure<br />

between 6 and 16 bar. This boiler is typically<br />

used in district heating plants and industrial<br />

enterprises.<br />

Water-cooled burner insertion point and<br />

reversing chamber<br />

Vitomax boilers do not need to be lined for the<br />

burner installation. This guarantees a constant<br />

temperature around the burner head, with low<br />

NOx levels – the otherwise usual reflection<br />

from the refractory lining is not applicable.<br />

The burner insertion point and the rear flue<br />

gas reversing chamber of the Vitomax 200-HW<br />

are water-cooled. Hence the energy in<br />

the flue gases is used exclusively for<br />

generating heat.<br />

Generously sized tube spacings for<br />

long-term boiler operation<br />

The spacing between the smoke tubes, as<br />

Clean combustion and high efficiency<br />

The Vitomax 300-HS (type M95A) high<br />

pressure steam boiler satisfies all of the<br />

latest legal requirements for combustion<br />

with particularly low emissions. Further<br />

development of the design has also enabled<br />

boiler efficiency to be increased to 97 percent<br />

(with economiser).<br />

Irrespective of the fuel used, the boiler<br />

delivers an output of up to 26 tonnes of steam<br />

per hour. It has been conceived especially<br />

for manufacturing industries, where large<br />

amounts of steam are required continually.<br />

Thanks to its large evaporator, high steam<br />

quality with low residual moisture is a key<br />

feature. The Vitomax 300-HS can be operated<br />

very flexibly with light or heavy fuel oil or even<br />

biomethane.<br />

Highly efficient steam generation<br />

Due to their special design, Vitomax boilers<br />

need not be fitted with refractory linings for<br />

the installation of the burners. This guarantees<br />

a constant temperature around the burner<br />

head, with low NOx levels – the otherwise<br />

usual reflection from the refractory lining is<br />

not applicable. The burner insertion point and<br />

the rear flue gas reversing chamber of the<br />

Vitomax 300-HS are water-cooled. Hence the<br />

Whilst the Vitomax 200-HS is tailored to<br />

is ideal for all users that require steam<br />

continuously. Optionally, the high pressure<br />

steam boiler can be operated with light fuel<br />

oil (HEL), LPG, natural gas or biomethane.<br />

Large steam chamber with low pipe load<br />

A new programmable logic control (PLC)<br />

was developed to make operating Vitomax<br />

high pressure steam boilers even easier. The<br />

interface of this control system is comprised<br />

of a self-explanatory 10 inch graphic touch<br />

panel. Text details of previous control units are<br />

replaced or supplemented by unmistakable<br />

pictographs.<br />

Boiler functions are selected via a menu.<br />

Any deviations that occur during operation<br />

are categorised as “fault”, “warning” or<br />

“information” messages. The universal user<br />

interface can be modified and adapted to suit<br />

individual systems.<br />

Large touch fields make up the visual interface<br />

of the 10 inch colour display with 65,000<br />

colours and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixel.<br />

Detailed function diagrams<br />

A programmable logic control (PLC) regulates<br />

all boiler processes that have no immediate<br />

safety relevance. These include boiler steam<br />

output and water level control, as well as<br />

T.D.S. and blow-down control. If required,<br />

auxiliary equipment, such as dosing pumps,<br />

thermal water treatment facilities, bypass<br />

dampers and flue gas dampers, etc. can also<br />

be controlled.<br />

All safety functions are implemented,<br />

in accordance with specific national<br />

requirements, by means of safety-compliant<br />

instrumentation and control equipment<br />

outside the PLC.<br />

An auxiliary module, which is connected<br />

to the telephone network, enables remote<br />

monitoring to be conducted from anywhere if<br />

economy where the annual gas consumption<br />

is at least 26,000 kWh and the power<br />

consumption lies above 3000 kWh per<br />

as easily installed as a classic wall mounted<br />

Heating conveniently and using<br />

power on site<br />

The micro CHP appliance is a genuine<br />

alternative to conventional heating systems<br />

when modernising. Compared to an outdated<br />

gas boiler, this appliance not only uses<br />

significantly less energy, but also generates<br />

power for consumption on site. Surplus power<br />

is exported to the grid, which is currently<br />

remunerated at €0.10/kWh.<br />

The Vitobloc EM-5 mini CHP module has an<br />

output of 5.5 kWel and 12 kWth and closes the<br />

gap between the wall mounted Vitotwin 300-W<br />

micro CHP appliance and the Vitobloc 200<br />

EM-20. The maintenance interval is 6000<br />

hours. This generally translates into a service<br />

requirement once every year or even once<br />

every other year. The three cylinder engine is<br />

particularly quiet compared to conventional<br />

As a completely new concept, <strong>Viessmann</strong><br />

now offers its Vitobloc combined heat and<br />

power modules as a bundle, with a supply<br />

contract for environmentally responsible<br />

biomethane.<br />

Amortisation through savings in<br />

electricity costs<br />

Apart from reducing the environmental load,<br />

the economic aspects are also particularly<br />

lucrative for system operators. This is based<br />

on the power generated by the CHP module<br />

being exported into the grid over a period of<br />

20 years at guaranteed prices.<br />

According to the Renewable Energy Sources<br />

Act the remuneration for using biomethane<br />

is significantly more attractive than when<br />

operating with fossil fuels like natural gas.<br />

This enables the system to pay for itself<br />

through its operation, the investment<br />

Biomethane supply<br />

Arranging the supply of biomethane via<br />

<strong>Viessmann</strong> is as convenient for the system<br />

user as purchasing eco power. Initially,<br />

suppliers like farmers, utilities and operator<br />

associations produce biogas from sustainable<br />

materials or from organic waste using their<br />

own plants. The raw biogas is then upgraded<br />

to biomethane and fed directly into the gas<br />

grid. Users require no storage tanks.<br />

CHP module operators obtain an authenticated<br />

certificate of origin with their supply contract<br />

covering the delivery of biomethane which<br />

identifies the supply quality and amount. This<br />

environmental certificate is recognised and<br />

forms the basis for the remuneration of the<br />

power generated from biomethane.<br />

Concluding the contract guarantees the<br />

supply of biomethane for the duration of at<br />

Since 1995 the specialist Schmack Biogas,<br />

a member of the <strong>Viessmann</strong> Group, has<br />

been setting benchmarks for biogas plants<br />

with high efficiency. The company’s core<br />

competence lies in the area of fermentation of<br />

fuel crops and agricultural fertiliser, or slurry.<br />

The most important basis for these efficient<br />

biogas plants are standard systems ranging<br />

from 18 kWel to 20 MWGas .<br />

EUCOlino – small system in a modular<br />

design<br />

EUCOlino makes its case with low investment<br />

outlay and a space efficient modular design.<br />

This compact biogas plant enables smaller<br />

agricultural enterprises, in particular, an entry<br />

into biogas production. In addition, there is<br />

the opportunity to make use of the attractive<br />

remuneration in accordance with the<br />

Renewable Energy Sources Act, as well as<br />

the intelligent heat utilisation concept for<br />

production and accommodation buildings<br />

Flexible enough for any location<br />

The biogas plant can be flexibly adapted to the<br />

to prevent structure-borne noise and insulates<br />

Vitocal 300-G series. The five output sizes<br />

The high temperature heat pump,<br />

Vitocal 350-HT, extends the heat pump <strong>range</strong><br />

by a model operating with CO2 – the natural<br />

refrigerant. The ready-to-connect drive unit is<br />

designed for rapid provision of plenty of water<br />

at temperatures up to 90 °C as required, for<br />

example, in spa baths, wellness facilities and<br />

hotels. With CO2 as a refrigerant, these high<br />

temperatures can be achieved with very high<br />

efficiency according to the instantaneous<br />

water heater principle.<br />

In their operation, the Vitocal 350-HT achieves<br />

<strong>New</strong> sets of accessories are now available<br />

which allow <strong>Viessmann</strong> solar collectors to<br />

blend in even more unobtrusively into the<br />

roof cover. They are suitable for installing<br />

collectors in single or double rows and may<br />

be used for horizontally or vertically oriented<br />

collectors. The installation set is compatible<br />

with corrugated roof tiles, plain tiles, barrel<br />

tiles and slate; on request they are also<br />

available painted in RAL colours.<br />

In its standard form, the accessories,<br />

including side flashing, are supplied to cover<br />

the collector connections. This penetrates<br />

the roof skin below the collector flashing.<br />

The water-bearing level lies beneath the<br />

collector. The water impermeability of the<br />

roof skin is therefore assured – irrespective<br />

of whether a roof membrane is provided or<br />

not. This also applies if the collector or the<br />

collector glass is damaged.<br />

For steeply sloping roofs, the design option<br />

with additional flashing for the top and bottom<br />

is available.<br />

Experience has shown that in most cases,<br />

supports with a fixed angle are adequate for<br />

horizontally and vertically oriented collectors.<br />

<strong>Viessmann</strong> offers a practical solution for this<br />

in three versions that provide angles of 30,<br />

45 and 60 degrees. The support brackets are<br />

made from weather-resistant aluminium, and<br />

installation is straight-forward and quickly<br />

accomplished.<br />

rated for a snow load of 1.5 kN/m2 and can<br />

The high grade, removable thermal insulation,<br />

made from polyester fleece and the associated<br />

At the second control level, further settings<br />

and a clear menu structure are available.<br />

Menu-guided operation<br />

The operation, assisted by user prompts, is<br />

easy and intuitive. Standard controls, a large<br />

backlit graphic display with several lines of<br />

plain text, a high in contrast mono-chrome<br />

display and a context-sensitive help function<br />

that is accessible via the “?” key, all contribute<br />

to the ease of use. Special functions such as<br />

the heating curve, solar yield and switching<br />

times are displayed graphically.<br />

The Vitotronic 200 regulates applications<br />

comprising solar central heating backup, two<br />

Suppressing reheating increases<br />

efficiency<br />

In heating systems with solar DHW heating<br />

and heating water heating, reheat suppression<br />

by the Vitotronic control unit contributes to<br />

higher efficiency. Here, the control unit takes<br />

the heating of DHW by the solar thermal<br />

system over the past 24 hours into account<br />

and, if similar conditions can be expected,<br />

suppresses unnecessary reheating by the<br />

heat source. Only if the water inside the DHW<br />

cylinder falls below a minimum temperature<br />

will the boiler be started.<br />

The Vitotronic 300-K control unit is designed<br />

for multi boiler systems and cascades of<br />

wall mounted gas boilers. Depending on<br />

application, the control unit can also be<br />

supplied for installation in a control panel.<br />

The current status of up to eight Vitodens<br />

200-W is clearly shown on the default screen<br />

in graphic form. As an option, up to two mixer<br />

The new wireless Vitotrol 300 RF control unit<br />

puts the operation of their heating system<br />

always within reach of users. The large colour<br />

touch display and the clear function fields<br />

make the operation even easier than on the<br />

Vitotronic 200 which is fitted to the boiler.<br />

The Vitotrol 300 RF is sited with its charging<br />

dock inside the living space and can be taken<br />

out of the dock for convenient operation.<br />

For use with this remote control, the<br />

Vitotronic 200 is supplied with a wireless base<br />

station (only for the Vitodens 300-W, 11 kW).<br />

This makes it an ideal choice for retrofitting,<br />

as no wiring is required.<br />

The Vitotrol 300 RF can control up to three<br />

heating circuits with heating programs, set<br />

room temperatures, the party and economy<br />

mode, holiday programs and switching times<br />

via its touch screen. The solar yield is also<br />

graphically displayed if a solar thermal system<br />

is linked into the system.<br />

Wireless Vitotrol 200 RF remote control<br />

The Vitotrol 200 RF is a simple wireless<br />

remote control for wall mounting. It is ideal<br />

for retrofitting, as no wiring is required. The<br />

operation requires a wireless base unit that<br />

is available as an accessory.<br />

On its large display, the Vitotrol 200 RF offers<br />

a clear overview of current data, such as the<br />

room and the outside temperatures, as well<br />

as the current operating program. Separate<br />

keys are available for party and economy<br />

mode. Changes to the set room temperature<br />

or the operating program are made via cursor<br />

keys. This remote control is designed for<br />

a single heating circuit.<br />

As an option, the wireless system can be<br />

extended by a light-activated wireless outside<br />

temperature sensor.

Vitotrol App<br />

The Vitotrol App for controlling heating<br />

systems is available for smartphones (iPhone<br />

and androids) as well as the iPad and iPod<br />

touch. To enable this, the Vitotronic fitted to<br />

the new Vitodens 300-W (11 kW) must be<br />

extended by the Vitocom 200 LAN interface<br />

and must be connected to the DSL router on<br />

site. A configuration of the DSL router is not<br />

required. Boiler messages are sent to the<br />

smartphone by email.<br />

The Vitotrol App controls up to three heating<br />

circuits. This application is not only a convenient<br />

tool for the operation of heating systems<br />

by end users. Heating contractors, too, are<br />

given the opportunity through LAN/DSL<br />

connection to the heating system to offer their<br />

customers additional service and maintenance<br />

facilities.<br />
