Mezzo-soprano KIMBALL WHEELER made her 1982New York Philharmonic debut under the direction ofZubin Mehta, marking the start of an internationalcareer that includes world-premiere performancesat the Rome Opera and Teatro La Fenice, as wellas performances with major orchestras and operacompanies internationally. Her repertoire rangesfrom Monteverdi to Berio, Lees, and Zaimont,and she collaborates frequently with composers,appearing in film, television, and recordings. Winnerof the Liederkranz Award for Wagnerian singers andthe Pro Musica Award, she has appeared at majorhalls throughout the United States and at manyEuropean festivals.world’s greatest conductors, including Zubin Mehta,Michael Tilson Thomas, and Erich Leinsdorf.
