What it takes to get readyfor school to open ...With the passing winds of summer, sogoes the season. Our custodians here atIvers J. Norton Elementary are readyingour building for the return of our staff andstudents. Beginning on the first floor, onewould not believe school is “just aroundthe corner,” especially when this is whatwas seen not too long ago “just around thecorner.” Believe it or not, the upper righthand corner of this picture at right indicatesthe front door of the kindergartenwing of the building.Looking down the hall of the secondfloor in this photo at left, one almostwonders whether there will be enoughroom to walk and get through to ourclassrooms. After all, we only needstudents and a teacher to make a classroom.Who needs furniture and supplies?After catching your breath, if you canwalk up to the third floor, you will findthat they are certainly ready to begin a newyear. Look at the shine on that floor inthis photo shown at right. Do you thinkwe should all move up to the third floor?Kudos to our custodial staff for all thatthey do to get ready for us!!!!
