FOREWORDWelcome to the first edition of the <strong>Dublin</strong> City <strong>Arts</strong> <strong>Directory</strong>. It provides an essential guide tocultural and arts groups in an ever-changing <strong>Dublin</strong>. The directory offers a clear and userfr<strong>ie</strong>ndlyset of signposts to a rich and vibrant artistic tapestry in our city.There are ten sections, all of which are colour-coded <strong>for</strong> easy use. Each group/event hasbeen categorised under the section most relevant to its main pursuit. THE ARTS FOCUS GROUPThe <strong>Arts</strong> Focus Group, a member of the <strong>Dublin</strong> City<strong>Community</strong> Forum, was founded in 2002 and has amembership of over 60 groups.Membership of the <strong>Arts</strong> Focus Group includes a widevar<strong>ie</strong>ty of individuals, groups and organisations involved inarts and culture throughout the city.The <strong>Arts</strong> Focus Group encourages all participants to sharetheir knowledge, allowing <strong>for</strong> diverse cultural exper<strong>ie</strong>nceand facilitating a range of methodolog<strong>ie</strong>s.The main aims of the <strong>Arts</strong> Focus Group are:1.
