Introduction to the Programme<br />
I IL - <strong>MTCP</strong> (<strong>Indian</strong> Immunologicals Ltd.<br />
- Marketing Trainee Certification Programme) is an exclusive, subsidised - 24 day jobguaranteed<br />
training programme <strong>for</strong> Graduates to be delivered by <strong>TMI</strong> <strong>e2E</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>. This training programme is based on the newly<br />
launched JOJOE (Jointly Owned Job Oriented Education) model, where on one hand the programme guarantees a job to the participant;<br />
on the other it guarantees the corporate a well trained employee who will be productive from day one of employment - a perfect winwin<br />
<strong>for</strong> both parties.<br />
The <strong>MTCP</strong> will equip participants with detailed product knowledge and required marketing skills to excel in the field of Bio-Pharma<br />
marketing. Post-training, the participants will kick-start their careers in the Bio-Pharma sector as Marketing Trainees and after successful<br />
completion of probation of 12 months, they will be promoted as Marketing Officers with substantial increase in compensation.<br />
The participants will be sourced from all over the country (the interview locations being Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad<br />
and Chennai) and trained in Bhopal and Hyderabad. They will be placed across the country to market human and veterinary vaccines.<br />
About <strong>IIL</strong><br />
<strong>Indian</strong> Immunologicals Ltd. (<strong>IIL</strong>), is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and was set up in<br />
1982 under the Operation Flood programme to manufacture vaccines and biologicals <strong>for</strong> the livestock sector. It commenced<br />
manufacture of the Foot & Mouth Disease Vaccine with technology from Wellcome Foundation, UK.<br />
<strong>IIL</strong> is today one of the largest producers of animal vaccines in the world and a Top Three producer of the Foot & Mouth Disease Vaccine,<br />
with a capacity of 240 mio trivalent doses p.a.<br />
Following the successful introduction of Foot & Mouth Disease Vaccine - Raksha FMD, <strong>IIL</strong> launched the tissue culture rabies vaccine<br />
“Raksharab” in 1989. This was the first <strong>Indian</strong> tissue culture rabies vaccine in the animal health market. Subsequently, <strong>IIL</strong> developed<br />
many biologicals through its own R&D ef<strong>for</strong>ts and launched several vaccines in the <strong>Indian</strong> market at af<strong>for</strong>dable prices.<br />
<strong>IIL</strong> is today the third largest animal health player in the <strong>Indian</strong> market and the market leader in veterinary biologicals in India. It operates<br />
one of the largest plants in the world <strong>for</strong> veterinary vaccines and is WHO-GMP and ISO-9002 certified. <strong>IIL</strong> exports its products to several<br />
countries and exports contributed substantially to the company’s turnover of Rs 283 crores in FY 2010-11.<br />

<strong>IIL</strong> pursues not only the mandate of NDDB to provide products and services to enhance the quality of livestock in the country, but also<br />

<strong>IIL</strong> is also one of the leading service providers of animal breeding, health and nutrition services through its division Indiagen. <strong>IIL</strong><br />
operates a facility in Ooty to manufacture the vero cell culture rabies vaccine <strong>for</strong> use in human beings. This plant was set up in 1998 at<br />
the specific request of the Government of India in order to phase out use of the older and unsafe sheep brain vaccine (also termed<br />
nerve tissue vaccine - NTV) with the modern tissue culture vaccine. <strong>IIL</strong> sells the product under the brand name “Abhayrab” through its<br />
network of “Abhay Clinics”. Incidentally, <strong>IIL</strong> is the second company in the world to launch the Purified Vero cell Rabies Vaccine (PVRV).<br />
The vaccine is sold at a very economical price when compared to the brands of multinational companies.<br />
<strong>IIL</strong>’s concept of Abhay Clinics, which provides vaccination service by qualified medical practitioners working on franchisee basis and<br />
supported by a sound cold chain system is unique. The success of Abhayrab and Abhay Clinics emboldened <strong>IIL</strong> to embark on building a<br />
new vaccine facility in Hyderabad to manufacture various other human vaccines such as Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Recombinant<br />
Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A and Measles. This plant, which commenced commercial production in phases from September 2006, will also<br />
produce combination vaccine against these diseases. <strong>IIL</strong> is the fourth largest human vaccine company in India.<br />
<strong>IIL</strong>’s R&D ef<strong>for</strong>ts are directed at developing new technologies in biologicals and vaccines. <strong>IIL</strong> is also involved in developing vaccines <strong>for</strong><br />
various tropical diseases which are of no interest to western countries but very relevant <strong>for</strong> a country like India.<br />

About the Role at <strong>IIL</strong><br />
Key Expectations<br />
Candidate will be recruited and trained <strong>for</strong> the role of Marketing Trainee responsible <strong>for</strong> carrying out the following activities -<br />
1. Manage relationship with Doctors, Retailers & Stockists and generate prescription <strong>for</strong> the brands.<br />
2. Ensure availability of products at chemists’ counters and also at stockists’ points.<br />
3. Achieve the set sales objective/target.<br />
4. Book orders from customers.<br />
5. Recover market out-standings.<br />

6. Maintain /achieve work productivity norms such as call averages, etc.<br />
7. Explore new avenues of business generation.<br />
8. Manage relationship with Government institutions.<br />
9. Conduct events to educate Doctors and Farmers in rural India.<br />
10. Provide Daily Call Report <strong>for</strong> all sales and marketing activities accomplished.<br />

On successful completion of the training, candidate will be placed in one of the 18 states listed here –<br />

it can be accumulated to 240 days.<br />
They will be attached to C & F agents <strong>for</strong> periodic reviews.<br />
They will be assessed 50% on the number and quality of events to educate Doctors and Farmers other than achieving their<br />
targets which has 50% weightage.<br />

Note - Employees are not promoted to the next grade<br />
until they have spent at least 1 year in their current grade. There are no time scale promotions.<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>mance appraisals happen every year and employees are assessed on 2 primary things on a 50%-50% basis, namely,<br />

Eligible candidates appear <strong>for</strong> a written test followed by an interview.<br />
On being selected, they are expected to pay a course fee of 8000/- + Service Tax @ 10.3% in the <strong>for</strong>m of a DD and get admitted to<br />
the training programme.<br />
The training will be held <strong>for</strong> the duration of 24 days and students are required to stay at their training locations (Hyderabad or<br />
Bhopal).<br />
An end-course assessment will be conducted and on successful completion the candidate will be given the joining letter by <strong>IIL</strong>.<br />
On joining <strong>IIL</strong>, candidates will be allotted their location of posting and may have to travel directly from training location to their<br />
respective job posting locations.<br />
This training programme has been developed on the Job Instruction Method <strong>for</strong> Job Oriented Education (JIMJOE). The programme<br />
breaks down the job skills required to succeed into broad areas which are further subdivided into various modules listed below:<br />

The course curriculum <strong>for</strong> this programme is structured in line with the job requirements of a Marketing Trainee.<br />
The programme is designed to develop skills and impart knowledge to act effectively and efficiently to pursue the goals in the field<br />
of marketing in human health and animal health sectors.<br />
Course delivery includes Lectures, Assignments, Audiovisual Presentations, Case Discussions, Quiz, Role Plays, Games, Group<br />
Discussions and others.<br />
Evaluation Process<br />
Candidates will be tested regularly <strong>for</strong> their learning, during the training programme as well as at the end of the programme.<br />
In-course evaluation<br />
- Candidates will be tested separately in each module which will broadly comprise of Soft Skills, Technical<br />
Skills (Animal/Human Health), Product Skills (Animal/Human vaccines) and Sales & Marketing Skills. They will be rated in/on class tests,<br />
term examinations, class participation, case assignments and discussions and presentations.<br />
End-Course evaluation<br />
- At the end of the course, the candidate will have to clear an assessment (full day test) that tests<br />
his/her learning and skills in all the modules in which s/he is trained.<br />

Successful candidates will get a certificate issued jointly by the employer – <strong>Indian</strong> Immunologicals Ltd. and <strong>TMI</strong> <strong>e2E</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> Pvt. Ltd.<br />

Training Infrastructure<br />
The training <strong>for</strong> <strong>IIL</strong> will be conducted in Hyderabad and Bhopal. The facilities include:<br />
� Good class rooms with all facilities <strong>for</strong> learning<br />
� Each classroom will have a head table, a computer with multimedia speakers, an LCD projector, a screen and a white board with<br />
white board markers<br />
� Well experienced faculty drawn from Academicians, functional Experts and practicing Managers.<br />
Course fee<br />
The total course fee <strong>for</strong> 24 days of training is 33,000 only. <strong>Indian</strong> Immunologicals is a strong believer of investing in people and hence<br />
is investing 25,000 out of the entire course fee. This means that the candidate pays a highly subsidised course fee of 8,000 + Service<br />
Tax @ 10.3% only.<br />
Assured Job Placement<br />
All candidates, on successful completion of the 24 day training will be inducted into <strong>IIL</strong> as Marketing Trainees.<br />

online application <strong>for</strong>m on the website and walk into any of the Assessment Centres with the filled-in application on the given dates<br />
along with the documents mentioned in the section below and undergo the assessment process.<br />

Candidates, who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in the section above, will have to qualify in a Written Test. This test will<br />
assess their quantitative aptitude, verbal ability and general awareness.<br />
Candidates who qualify in the written test will have to appear <strong>for</strong> a personal interview.<br />
Candidates found suitable through the interview process will be allowed admission to the job guaranteed 24-day training<br />
programme.<br />
The Admission procedure would include submission of documents mentioned below along with the course fee in the <strong>for</strong>m of a<br />

The first batch will commence in the first week of June 2011.<br />

Boarding & Lodging<br />
Participants will be assisted by <strong>TMI</strong> <strong>e2E</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> to find af<strong>for</strong>dable and com<strong>for</strong>table boarding and lodging facilities close to the<br />
location of training. Participants have to bear the cost of boarding and lodging.<br />

After successful completion of training, candidates will be inducted at the <strong>IIL</strong> Head Office at Hyderabad and will be provided with<br />
an orientation.<br />

Once the participant is admitted into the <strong>MTCP</strong>, cancellation will not be permitted and no fee refund request will be entertained.<br />
