A chef’sjourney is not the easiest. The old world chef has always had to fight for what he believed in –especially in his knowledge and skill. The kitchen dynamics of yesterday are not the same today, soit is important for our youths to be given a conducive platform from which they are able to learnand take something away. A formal culinary arts education imparts this priceless experience. And it’salways very encouraging to see more and more of the industry step up to recognize and supportthis. In all, the forum was positive and memorable for me”Christophe MegelChief Executive OfficerAt-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy“Wine & Gourmet Asia is an excellent venue for top chefs and fine-dining restaurants to showcasetheir skills and to strengthen expertise throughout the industry. I am delighted this opportunityexists to share the great food we make every day with a wider audience, and at the same timeexplore the explosion of new restaurants and cuisines in Macau.”Peter Find,Executive Director of Culinary OperationsWynn Macau“We view Wine & Gourmet Asia as an excellent element in the evolution of Macau into a trueleisure and tourist destination, broadening its appeal to a wider variety of tourists and gourmetsfrom around the world. Wynn Macau is proud to be part of a unique event that raises the standardsof cuisine and the profile of Macau in Asia.”Thomas Connolly,Executive Director (F&B)Wynn MacauWine & Gourmet Asia, Macau 2008 – 5 to 7 November 2008 Page 5 of 16POST EVENT REPORT
