> Course Description
This program specially designed for data center professions to share
best practice on DC operations, energy saving and cost management. It
explicitly deals with an organization’s strategy as it relates to the
effective use of energy by software, ICT (Information and
Communication Technology) systems and support infrastructure
(mechanical and electrical facilities) within the data centre.
Data centre energy consumption and cost control are strategic issues
requiring multidisciplinary solutions. Management approach should be
adopted to optimize all aspects of energy use in a data centre. It is rarely
that data centre profession can handle this issue remotely, rather equipped
with skills to work alongside with experts from various disciplines to deliver
an overall efficiency and cost control strategy.
BSI, as the Standard founder, will bring in a structure approach, with the
practical knowledge, to help data centre profession build an effective way
of energy management applying the latest International Standard: ISO
50001 Energy Management System, with focus on ICT and data center
energy efficiency. Moreover, our experienced Chartered Engineers (CEng)
from Strategic Media Asia, will discuss the technical implementation and the
best practices in energy efficient data center management from 4
disciplines: regulatory and financial, facilities management, hardware
management and software / system networks.

syllabus necessary to sit the BCS exam.
