Experts sent to the field give their time to <strong>FIDH</strong>on a voluntary bas<strong>is</strong>.<strong>FIDH</strong> has conducted more than 1 500 m<strong>is</strong>sions <strong>in</strong> over 100 countries <strong>in</strong> the past 25 years. <strong>The</strong>se activities re<strong>in</strong>force <strong>FIDH</strong>’salert and advocacy campaigns.Support<strong>in</strong>g civil society – Tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g and exchange<strong>FIDH</strong> organ<strong>is</strong>es numerous activities <strong>in</strong> partnership with its member organ<strong>is</strong>ations, <strong>in</strong> the countries <strong>in</strong> which they are based.<strong>The</strong> core aim <strong>is</strong> to strengthen the <strong>in</strong>fluence and capacity <strong>of</strong> human rights activ<strong>is</strong>ts to boost changes at the local level.Mobil<strong>is</strong><strong>in</strong>g the <strong>in</strong>ternational community – Permanent lobby<strong>in</strong>g before <strong>in</strong>tergovernmental bodies<strong>FIDH</strong> supports its member organ<strong>is</strong>ations and local partners <strong>in</strong> their efforts before <strong>in</strong>tergovernmental organ<strong>is</strong>ations. <strong>FIDH</strong>alerts <strong>in</strong>ternational bodies to violations <strong>of</strong> human rights and refers <strong>in</strong>dividual cases to them. <strong>FIDH</strong> also takes part <strong>in</strong>thedevelopment <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational legal <strong>in</strong>struments.Inform<strong>in</strong>g and report<strong>in</strong>g – Mobil<strong>is</strong><strong>in</strong>g public op<strong>in</strong>ion<strong>FIDH</strong> <strong>in</strong>forms and mobil<strong>is</strong>es public op<strong>in</strong>ion. Press releases, press conferences, open letters to authorities, m<strong>is</strong>sion reports,urgent appeals, petitions, campaigns, website… <strong>FIDH</strong> makes full use <strong>of</strong> all means <strong>of</strong> communication to ra<strong>is</strong>e a<strong>war</strong>eness <strong>of</strong>human rights violations.CCEEU. <strong>The</strong> Coord<strong>in</strong>ation Colombia - Europe - UnitedStates (CCEEU) <strong>is</strong> a network <strong>of</strong> 233 social and human rightsorganizations <strong>in</strong> Colombia that conduct advocacy activities atthe national and <strong>in</strong>ternational levels and promote policies andmeasures for the protection <strong>of</strong> human rights and the end <strong>of</strong>impunity.<strong>The</strong> Work<strong>in</strong>g Table on extrajudicial executions <strong>is</strong> part <strong>of</strong> CCEEUand <strong>is</strong> composed <strong>of</strong> 20 organizations that monitor the situationand the representation <strong>of</strong> victims <strong>in</strong> crim<strong>in</strong>al proceed<strong>in</strong>gsfor extrajudicial executions.
