The sink is often located near the doorway to the corridor, for both convenient access andas a visual reminder. A luminaire delivering task intensity illumination should be located directly over thebasin just outside of the splash zone, incorporating appropriate cut-off to minimize glare and excessivelight trespass to the patient.Night Light:Night lights are needed to illuminate pathways to the restroom and to the corridor. The floor must beclearly lit so that ambulatory patients, as well as nighttime caregivers, can pass safely.
