BULLDOG LUCKY LOTTERY
Dear Member, included in the February edition of Southtalk is your Bulldog Lucky Lottery ticket for 2011. The Bulldog
Lucky Lottery, formally the Bulldog Bonanza, enters it’s 22 nd consecutive year and has proven to be very popular with
members who are given fifty (50) opportunities to win $100 over a ten week period plus final prize money of $3500.
The final draw will this year be held in the WJ (Dooza) Hughes Members Bar on Friday 24 June between 6.00pm and
8.00pm. All ticket holders are invited to attend the final draw where the caterers will provide a delicious meal and drinks are
on the house from 6.00pm until 7.00pm.
To join the 2011 Lucky Lottery simply return by cheque or credit card facility the sum of $60 in the reply paid envelope. All
weekly winners will receive a cheque for $100 in the mail immediately after the draw on members night. The first draw will
be held on Friday 15 April 2011. Results will be published in Wednesday’s public notices column of The West Australian
and on the club website.

FOOTBALL NEWS
Welcome to another season of WAFL football and looking forward to regrouping from last years disappointment of missing
the finals after the premiership in 2009. In my first year as Football Manager I am excited with the playing and coaching
group that we have assembled. Players like Jaymie Graham, Theo Adams, Reece Adams and Nathan Phillips recovering
from long term injuries will add further strength to the playing group in 2011. Along with Ryan Cook, Paul Hasleby, Scott
Thornton and Ryan Murphy all with an abundance of AFL experience.
Hope to see you all out supporting the team come Round 1 vs East Perth.

GUERNSEY PRESENTATION
The official launch of the 2011 football season will be held on Sunday 13 March at John Graham Reserve, Woodman’s
Point commencing at 10.00 am.
All members are cordially invited to this family day when the senior and colts players will be presented with their jumpers by
their respective coaches and the leadership group. This gala day is free of charge, just simply bring your own food,
refreshments, folding chairs and rugs and join in the festivities.
Extra barbecues will be positioned around the park and there will be a free sausage sizzle for the kids, lollies, cooldrinks,
face painting and the adventure playground to keep them amused. The beach is only a walking distance from the park
which has plenty of shady trees and rotundas (if you’re early) or you may wish to bring your own beach umbrella.
The colts jumper presentation is scheduled for about 11.00 am and the seniors immediately after lunch.
It won’t be a long day and it will be a great opportunity for members to mingle with the players in an informal atmosphere.

WARRIORS
The South Fremantle 16’s Warriors development squad has kicked into gear, with the side being finalised and now coming
into the scratch matches.
This year going forward into the program there will be 39 players, 8 of the players being from our Country Zoned areas.

We hope everyone can come down and support the future of the South Fremantle Football Club in the upcoming games.
The 15’s have started their program in January, where they will have training sessions and education sessions once a
month up until August, then will train once a week to prepare for their Carnival.
They were lucky enough to have new SFFC recruit Ryan Cook take their February training session on Monday 14th. Ryan
bought great experience into the group, showing a few drills that he had learnt in the AFL.

SOUTH FREMANTLE PAST PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION
Welcome to 2011 and good luck to all players for the coming season. The Past Player Group is gearing up for another
good year, but at the same time we are hoping to recruit some helpers on game days. So if there is anyone (male or
female) out there who would like to help please let us know. Our membership fees are $20 per year which enables you to
enjoy half time refreshments home and away games. This year we will continue with our half time guest speakers.
On a sad note and with deep regret we lost 3 past players in the last couple of months. Gary Brookes, Maurice Rioli and
Don Wares RIP.
We have started the season with a page on the South Fremantle website. This will be regularly updated to keep our
members informed.
Our first function for the year will a Bowls Day followed by lunch at the Spearwood Dalmatinac on Sunday 10 April at 10.00

ANZAC DAY ON THE BALCONY
This year the Anzac Day Derby against our great rivals East Fremantle will be held at Fremantle Oval on Monday 25 th April.
Due to the generosity of the Fremantle Dockers we are again able to offer packages to view the game from the balcony of
the Dockers building. Nearly 100 people watched last year’s Foundation Day derby from the balcony, and acclaimed it as a
great success, with a fantastic, “close up” view of the game unmatched at any other ground.
The package – including ground entry, food and drinks – will cost $70. Tickets can be booked through the Club office –
