HEADThe HEAD is proudly carried.EYES - Dark hazel to dark brown,almond shaped, obliquely set andfarseeing, rims dark.EARS - Small, erect, and slightlyhooded, <strong>of</strong> fine texture and setwell forward on top <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> head.The skull is flat, well chiseled and<strong>of</strong> medium width, tapering toward<strong>the</strong> eyes. The foreface tapers fromeye to muzzle with a perceptiblestop. Muzzle shorter than <strong>the</strong> skull,nei<strong>the</strong>r coarse nor snipy, but withrounded cushions. Wrinkles appearupon <strong>the</strong> forehead when ears areerect, and are fine and pr<strong>of</strong>use.Side wrinkles are desirable, but should never be exaggerated into dewlap.Wrinkles are most noticeable in puppies and because <strong>of</strong> lack <strong>of</strong> shadowing,less noticeable in blacks, tricolors and brindles.NOSE - Black greatly desired.
