Heworked in campus ministry at Loyola and hasassisted with young adult ministry and confirmation preparationat his parish. He enjoys music, singing, playing the guitar, a varietyof sports, cooking Italian food, and traveling.Justin ClaravallArtesia, CACalifornia ProvinceJustin, 23, has a BA in art history and architecturefrom the University of California,Santa Barbara. He worked as a tutor andafter-school science instructor and did internshipswith art galleries. Studying in Rome and working withthe poor in the Philippines fueled his vocational pursuit withthe Jesuits. He enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing theukulele and drums.W. Penn DawsonTampa, FLNew Orleans ProvincePenn, 48, graduated with a law degreefrom the University of Florida and workedfor 23 years with a law firm in Florida. Hewas active in the Knights of Columbus, theTampa Bay Catholic Lawyers Guild, and at the Jesuits' SacredHeart Parish in Tampa. He traveled to Spain this summerto make the walking pilgrimage to Compostela.Arthur Bryce DelineTacoma, WAOregon ProvinceSteve, 28, attended St. Xavier High in Cincinnatiand has a BA in English from Boston Collegeand an MA in education from NotreDame. He taught Spanish and English at aCatholic high school in Florida and was a research consultantin Washington, D.C. He did an internship with Atlantic Monthlyand studied abroad in Ecuador. He enjoys ultimate frisbee.Bryce, 24, graduated from Bellarmine Prepin Tacoma and studied for a year at WashingtonState University in Pullman. He’sworked as a personal trainer and as a partnerin a fitness business. Film andmedia studies are among his other academicinterests. His work experience includes tutoring, highwayconstruction, and baling hay. He was active in his parish as aEucharistic minister, lector, and retreat leader.Gavin KeislingPage, AZWisconsin ProvinceGavin, 23, has a BA in philosophy fromMacalester College in St. Paul and studiedfor a semester in Berlin and Vienna. He hasworked as a lifeguard, a waiter, and an athletictrainer. He did volunteer work at a soup kitchen, homelessshelters, and with Habitat for Humanity. He enjoysplaying guitar and singing out of tune, as he puts it.Matthew LieserLakewood, OHChicago ProvinceMatt, 28, has a BA in international affairsfrom Xavier University. He spent two yearswith the Peace Corps in Guatemala, teachingbusiness and English. He worked for ChiquitaInternational as an analyst, and he was a volunteer coordinatorfor the Habitat for Humanity. He also workedin communications with Amigos de las Americas, an organizationthat sends volunteers to Latin America. His interestsinclude jazz saxophone and travel.Adam MescherMequon, WIWisconsin ProvinceAdam, 23, graduated from Marquette UniversityHigh and has a BA from Marquette University,where he studied theology andSpanish. He worked in his dad’s appliance repairbusiness and as a teacher’s aide for the developmentallydisabled. He volunteered with a number of politicalcampaigns, traveled through Europe, and attendedWorldYouth Day in Sydney in 2008.Martin NgoWestminster, CACalifornia ProvinceMartin, 27, has a BS in information and computerscience from the University of California,Irvine. He worked as a systems analystfor the city clerk’s office in Los Angeles. Since1999, he assisted Jesuits on nationwide retreats for youngadults. He enjoys singing, acting, dancing, and script writing.A thrill for him was bungee jumping with his sister in Japan.Kevin O’BrienRoseville, CACalifornia ProvinceKevin, 22, graduated from Jesuit High inSacramento and has a bachelor’s degree inbusiness from Gonzaga University inSpokane. At Gonzaga, he was a kitchenworker at the Jesuit residence, a resident assistant, and asports/copy editor for the Gonzaga Bulletin. He enjoys playingand watching sports, movies, writing, exercising, andcooking.Marc OrtizSan Jose, CACalifornia ProvinceMarc, 31, has a BA in sociology from the Universityof Illinois at Chicago and an MA in educationfrom Santa Clara University. He wasan elementary and middle school teacher atCatholic schools in the Diocese of San Jose. He served in the navy for twelveyears, including several tours in the Middle East. He spent a service-learning semesterin the Dominican Republic, and he taught and served in campusministry at Red Cloud High in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.He was involved in youth ministry and has taught confirmationclasses.Adam RosinskiPhiladelphia, PAMaryland ProvinceAdam, 24, has a bachelor’s degree in religiousstudies from the University of Scranton. Duringhis college years he worked as a parishsacristan, a waiter, and a caterer. He haschaperoned parish youth group trips, coordinated retreats,and taught high school religion. He spent eight years playingwith an Irish American band.Joseph SandovalAlbuquerque, NMNew Orleans ProvinceJoseph, 47, has a bachelor’s degree in economicsfrom Arizona State and also studiedgraphic design at the University of New Mexicoand photography at the NewYork Instituteof Photography. He taught for a year at RockhurstHigh in Kansas City as a member of theAlum Service Corps, and then he worked at St. Louis Universityhigh teaching religion, leading mission trips, and directingcampus ministry. He’s traveled through Italy, Ireland, andScotland.Gilbert StocksonReading, PAMaryland ProvinceGil, 29, has a bachelor’s degree in historyfrom the University of Pennsylvania and amaster’s degree in theology from NotreDame. Gil worked at a NewYork financialanalysis firm and served as a volunteer at De La Salle HighSchool, a Cristo Rey school in Portland, Oregon, for twoyears. Heserved with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Milwaukeeas a paralegal helping domestic-violencevictims. Patrick worked on the trading floor at a St.Louis brokerage firm.
