MorphologySuperficial central corneal malignant transformation


MorphologySuperficial keratectomy is adiquate treatment<strong>in</strong> most caases

Follow-up (N=23)• Follow-up <strong>in</strong>terval 5 days to 31 months• Only one dog had recurrent disease because<strong>of</strong> dirty deep marg<strong>in</strong>s


ConclusionsCan<strong>in</strong>e <strong>Corneal</strong> Squamous Cell Carc<strong>in</strong>oma• The number <strong>of</strong> submissions is <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g• Previous superficial <strong>in</strong>flammation is astrong risk factor• The Pug and Bulldog are over-represented• Relationship to cyclospor<strong>in</strong> &/or tacrolimus• The disease rema<strong>in</strong>s superficial and istreatable <strong>with</strong> keratectomy
