Naxos
Combining holidays on the Greek island of
Naxos with a therapist seminar is a fascinating
opportunity. The inner processes started by
the experience of a SE session or a constellation
work find a framework better suited
to cope with than everyday life, where other
duties or routines are distracting. Holidays, on
the other hand, are more than just relaxation.
So in this atmosphere we can match personal
matters, matters that occupy us presently or
for a long time, in a more relaxed way.
Greece is different. Everyone who has experienced
it will confirm that the climate, the
landscape, the typical sunlight of the Aegean,
and surely something that we cannot name,
give the seminars here a particular intensity.
We start our day with a meditation. After a
common breakfast, we take lessons starting
either with Somatic Experiencing or with
constellation work. There will be enough time
for every-body to work on different issues in
different ways.
The seminar will take place in a seminarhouse
in Apollona, a village at the north coast
of the island. Lodging is possible in a nearby

Constellation Work
� Family Constellations according to Bert Hellinger
Systemic constellations can be applied to
nearly anything people regard as a problem,
most often to conflicts in relationships (in the
context of work and employment as well as
personal relationship), internal conflicts or
illness. That is because nearly every kind of
struggle has essentially some systemic aspect,
which connects us to our families and
ancestors, often on an unconscious level.
Ursula Gessler and Thomas Gehrmann are
guiding family constellations according to Bert
Hellinger. Their style of doing this work is
marked by their teachers (Ingeborg Oelmann
resp. Bertold Ulsamer), by noticing how Bert
Hellinger himself has further developed his
work in the recent years, and of course by
their own experiences in doing this work.
� Fairy Tale Constellations
Fairy tale constellations are a poetical variation
of family constellation, that allows in
particular dealing with unclear but urgent
matters in a way that is serious as well as
playful.
� Epidauros Constellations
Constellations are one possibility, together
with trance or hands on work, to connect
with Asklepion, who is referred to in ancient
Greek myth as “god of healing”. Particularly
in Epidauros Constellations we “reconstruct”
the Asklepion of Epidauros. So “healing” is
understood in a very full meaning, just as
“therapy” comes closest to its original
meaning: Service of the Divine.

Somatic Experiencing®
Psychologist and psychotherapist Ursula
Fürstenwald (Copenhagen) is teaching and
working with Somatic Experiencing (SE®), work
on trauma, as designed and developed by Peter
Levine, Ph.D... SE® transforms trauma step by
step and offers integration to old wounds and
individual biography. Immobilized, frozen
states change into living movements and inner
flow again.

Though working with SE or constellations is
highly intensive, long breaks in the noon time
allow “digesting” it and letting the seminar
have the aspect of holidays, too. The October
climate of Naxos still offers good opporunity of
swimming in the sea. Walking tours on this
island, that is rich of water (in terms of Greek
islands), where mountains of marble and slate
tower up to a 1000 meters, and white villages
glisten in the wide green valleys with olive
trees, might be impressive.
