This tutoring can be very beneficial to willingstudents, particularly in the lead up to exams. I would like to thank the teachers who give up theirtime to provide this service: Mr Clunas, Mrs Hyland and Mrs WallaceMr S Markham Maths CoordinatorYEAR 9 COMMERCEAll Year 9 Commerce students exhibited their business skills to the school community as theyconducted a variety of stall during lunchtime last week. There was a large variety of food and drinkon offer including hand made toffee apples, cakes, pizzas, lolly bags, soft drinks, ice cream, donuts,fairy floss, hot chips, cookies, chocolates and a sausage sizzle. Teams were well organised andmost seemed to have planned their businesses well. The sum of $80 was collected from the profitsof businesses and donated to the ‘Relay for life’ fundraiser.Economics competitionThe following Year 12 students are recognised for their high achievement in the 2010 EconomicsCompetition. This national competition, sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, attracts thousandsof entrants each year. Our school entered 20 students and received 2 Distinctions and 6 Credits.Distinction Certificates (top 9th percentile) were obtained by: Adam Dekleva and Jake Walker.Credit Certificates (top 7th percentile) were obtained by: Angus Bradley, Thomas Gaudiosi,Brendan Hall, Phillip Konstandaras, Kryan McCarthy and Morgan MacKinnon.Congratulations on these outstanding results.M.Crotty HSIE Coordinator
