S U M M E R 2 0 1 1DR. KATHRYN FAUGHEY SCHOLARSHIP FUNDThose of you who graduated in 1969 may well remember Kathryn as a much liked and respected classmate. Those of you who were not inher class may have heard of her as the Psychologist who was brutally murdered in her Upper East Side Manhattan office. As a hard working student, she truly enjoyed her four years at Mater Christi. Upon graduating, Kathryn proceeded to work her way throughcollege, graduate school, and her Doctorate degree, always with the burden of supporting herself, and paying for both her education andliving expenses. She knew firsthand how difficult it can be to pursue a dream while battling all the obstacles that life can throw one’s way. With that thought in mind, her siblings formed the Dr. Kathryn Faughey Scholarship Fund, in conjunction with the St. John’s Prep alumniassociation. The first scholarship was awarded to a deserving student last Fall. We hope to continue to be able to make a financial awardannually to one deserving freshman, sophomore, or junior. We ask for your help to make this possible. Please consider making a donation to the fund, through St. John’s Prep. All donations to this fund are 100% tax deductible, and subject towhatever matching funds your employer may offer.Let’s keep Kathryn’s memory alive; let’s hold her in our hearts, and do some good in her name.Dr. Kathryn Faughey Scholarship FundName___________________________________________________________Class__________________Address________________________________________________________________________________Phone_____________________________________ Email_______________________________________Please make checks payable to: St.
