antiseraSSI produces an extended range of polyvalent antisera for typing of E. coli, pneumococci, Salmonella and streptococci.Pneumococcal antisera are manufactured for the Neufeld reaction test or latex agglutination. Most of the Salmonella andE. coli antisera are used for slide agglutination, which, like latex agglutination, improves test speed, convenience and quality.The antisera have been obtained from blood of healthy rabbits supplied by Harlan Laboratories (before 2004 from SSI’s ownbreeding colony). The antisera are tested for specificity and if possible absorbed free of all cross-reactions.The antisera are delivered with an instruction for use.
