Training includes extensive on-the-job training, whereby the FoodServices Supervisor Trainee might oversee, with assistance from a Food Services Supervisor or Manager, an assignedcafeteria for extended periods of time. Training/Support is provided on hiring and training staff, assigning duties andtasks, monitoring work, ordering food and supplies, completing reports and paperwork necessary for compliancerequirements. The trainee will participate in all functions of the kitchen staff assignments to include cashier, prep cook,cook and/or serving. Must be a High School Graduate ore equivalent, supplemented by course workin HVAC skills. Have at least Four (4) years HVAC and/or ERV experience. Must Hold NC Commercial HVAC license anda valid CFC certification. May also have an equivalent combination of education and experience as referenced above.Perform a variety of skilled and difficult HVAC mechanical and technical work on ERV’s (Energy Recovery Units), OAU’s(Outdoor Air Units) and MUA’s (make up air units). Perform journey-level HVAC work in preventive maintenance andrepair of: ERV’s, OAU’s and MUA’s. Scope of work also includes, but is not limited to: leading a team, assigning work tosemi-skilled workers, inspecting work of semi-skilled workers, assisting other skilled HVAC mechanics, working in varyingweather, and working at varying heights. Trade license desirable.Perform skilled journey level and semi-skilled HVAC mechanical work in the maintenance, installation, and repair ofheaters, chillers, and control systems. Work includes service and maintenance of all configurations of HVAC equipmentsuch as, but not limited to: Centrifugal, screw, scroll, hermetic, reciprocating compressors/Hydronic system componentssuch as chilled water and hot water pumps, valves, flow controls, variable frequency drives and all associated motorsfrom fractional horsepower to 80 horsepower; and service and maintenance of temperature control systems(Pneumatic, electric, electronic, and direct digital). Work may include operating computerize controls for heating and airconditioning systems. Theory, principles, and techniques of the HVAC trade and thorough knowledge of DDC controls;knowledge of the methods, tools, parts and equipment used in the trade; thorough knowledge of occupational hazardsand safety precautions associated with the trade; and knowledge of the use and care of tolls and equipment necessaryto perform job required.
