GENERAL INFORMATION INTERNATIONAL STEERING COMMITTEE
The Asia Pacific Conference on the Built
Environment (APCBE) was formally organized by
the Malaysia Chapter and Singapore Association of
ASHRAE members as a biennial event. In response
to growing technology in HVAC&R, the scopes of
the Conference have been expanded and became
ASHRAE Region XIII regular agenda. It is hosted
alternately by the ASHRAE chapters in the region
and held in cooperation with many sponsoring
institutions within the region and other parts of the
world.
The growth of world’s population and the increase
demand of better standard of living have increased
the consumption of energy. This conference
provides an opportunity for exchanging knowledge,
sharing of experiences, information on new
developments and future prospects in the area of
HVAC & R and other high performance building
technologies among researchers and practitioners.
This two days conference is planned to be attended
by around 300 participants from industry,
goverment, building designer, research institution
and universities.
