Anil KapoorThe members were informed of the overwhelming response to <strong>NEHWO</strong>’s membership enrolmentwhich closed on 30.04.2011. More than 15,000 employees have applied for Membership. Thereconciliation of details regarding payment is being taken up and is likely to be completed by 15 thMay, 2011. Once completed, confirmation regarding membership shall be sent to each member.The members discussed regarding requests (telephonic / e-mail /SMS / verbally) from employeeswho have not been able to apply for membership before 30 th April, 2011. i.e. closing date ofmembership enrolment and decided the following :-1. Membership drive for serving employees may be reopened after reconciliation is done, andmay be for 10 days.2. The employees who have deposited membership fee but could not fill online registrationand employees who had applied online but their payment could not be credited to <strong>NEHWO</strong>Account before or on 30.04.2011. i.e. is closing date of membership enrolment, may also beconsidered when the membership is reopened.3. Regarding eligibility of trainees for membership, it was deliberated anddecided that trainees who have been allotted employee numbers may be considered forbecoming member of <strong>NEHWO</strong> when ever membership drive is re-opened.4. Regarding membership to ex-employees who have superannuated /taken prematureretirement from services of <strong>NTPC</strong>, was discussed and it was decided that employees whohave superannuated/taken premature retirement from the services of <strong>NTPC</strong> on or after 22 nd


November, 2010 (the closing date of inclination survey) are eligible to apply formembership. They can make the payment of Rs 5000.00{five thousand} non- refundablemembership fee to <strong>NEHWO</strong> Account and submit the hard copy of Registration Form andthe same shall be processed.5. Membership for spouse/ family member of deceased employees was also considered andit was decided that spouse of employees who have deceased on or after 22.11.2010 (closing date of inclination survey) are eligible to apply for membership. They can makethe payment of Rs 5000.00(five thousand) non-refundable membership fee to <strong>NEHWO</strong>Account and submit the hard copy of Registration Form and the same shall beprocessed.6. Regarding membership certificate it was decided that the. certificate may be issuedthrough the system as per the sample approved. Soft copy of certificate shall be loadedon the web site and print can be taken by members themselves.7. Regarding investment of funds, it was decided that for the time being fundsbe invested in term deposit for a period of 91 days with the State Bank ofHyderabad. Funds if required before 91 days the term deposit can beencashedand further decision regarding this may be taken by President inconsultationwith Treasurer and General Secretary.8. Provisional allotment of two acres of land at Kolkotta by West Bengal housinginfrastructure development corporation (WBHIDCO) is in advanced stage andpayment for the same shall be required to be made as and when demanded by theauthorities. The President in consultation with Treasurer and General Secretary isauthorized to make payment to West Bengal housing infrastructure developmentcorporation.9. As provisional allotment of land at Kolkotta is in advanced stage as such services of anarchitect/consultant is required for co-ordination and planning purposes. The process ofappointment of an architect /consultant may be carried out through a committee. Thecommittee may be entrusted with the work of defining scope of work and terms ofpayment and award of work to the architect/ consultant. For this purpose committeeconsisting of the following was authorized, to take further necessary action for theappointment of architect/ consultant.• Sh. A.K.Bhatnagar• Sh. Sanjay Singh• Sh. Anil Kapoor• A nominee of RED(ER-1)10. For follow up and coordination with regional headquarters pertaining toallotment of land in these regions following coordinators have been approvedacting as nodal point between regions and governing council.for• Sh. Sanjay Singh coordinator for ER- 1& SR• Sh. N.K. Hasija coordinator for WR-2, ER-2 &Hydro Region• Sh. P.H. Saxena coordinator for NR ,WR-1 & NCR


11. Regarding requirement of man power for office it was decided that <strong>NTPC</strong> may berequested to provide support staff, otherwise the same may be arranged through UPL.General Secretary was authorized to take decision in consultation with President andTreasurer, on this matter.12. For decision regarding miscellaneous requirement of office and staff etc. GeneralSecretary was authorized to take decision in consultation with President and Treasurer.13. Since availability of land at Lucknow is in advanced stage, it was decided that acommittee of following may coordinate, negotiate & finalise deals of land atLucknow .Sh. P H SaxenaMs. Rekha NigamSh. Regarding requirement of land at Jaipur, based on inclination survey, it was decidedand resolved that President and General Secretary are authorized to take further action asdeemed fit with Jaipur Development Authority.15. It was resolved that for any further action , pertaining to allotment of land invarious cities, President and General Secretary are authorized to act on behalf of <strong>NEHWO</strong>.The meeting ended with thanks to members for sparing their valuable time & contribution forresolution of above issues.
