When Belmontwas finished, <strong>the</strong> scorewas 473 to 122.It was <strong>the</strong> first meet <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>season, and <strong>the</strong> relays wereready to get <strong>of</strong>f <strong>the</strong> blocks toshow how hard <strong>the</strong>y hadbeen practicing.Starting <strong>of</strong>f <strong>the</strong> meet in<strong>the</strong> 6 and under freestyle relayswere Amy Claypool, ValerieWard, Olivia Green andReece Hall as well as GrantCroy, Tyler Foster, NickBecker and Troy Pisula,both teams taking first place.Relay wins continued for<strong>the</strong> 8 and under medley relayswith Kate Harms, ElizabethLathrop, Rachel Wardand Elena Neceski as well asStevie Green, Justin Hire,Darin Croy and Teddy Disalle.Team members swambackstroke, breaststroke, butterflyand freestyle, respectively.“This is my first yearcoaching,” said Alex Kloster,coach <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 7-8 year oldswimmers. “After a coupleweeks <strong>of</strong> practice it was excitingto see how well eachswimmer did. There aremany new swimmers thisyear, and I was happy to seehow <strong>the</strong>y handled <strong>the</strong> pressureas meets can sometimesbe overwhelming.”Prizm Creative Communityis sponsoring a new collection<strong>of</strong> Art at <strong>the</strong> Starbucksin Levis Commons, <strong>Perrysburg</strong>.The current display entitled“Optical Essence <strong>of</strong> Nature”features <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> newPrizm photographer, JennyRegan and will be on viewthrough July 31.The display will includeMs. Regan’s photographs <strong>of</strong>landscapes and whimsical stillshots found during her manytravels including Australia,Ireland and her own backyard.She explores <strong>the</strong> colors <strong>of</strong>nature and discovers hiddentreasures that she catches withFour year olds can swim 25 yards without assistance, includingtwins Thomas and Mary Lathrop, who did well in<strong>the</strong>ir relay and individual events.As <strong>the</strong> meet continued,Belmont continued to tallymore points. Placing first,second and third earns <strong>the</strong>team 5, 3 or 1 point.The 100 individual medleyevent had points scoredby <strong>the</strong> following swimmers:Abi Ponzio, Alaina Foster,Peter Cooper and Nate Stedmanin <strong>the</strong> 11-12 age group;Caroline Lathrop, HaydenMcClarey and Max Burkeher lens.
