ike summitWho We Are<strong>Bike</strong> <strong>Utah</strong> is a non-profit organization established in 2005 whosemission is to promote and preserve the safety, opportunities, andresponsibilities of cyclists through legislation, education, and facilitiesdevelopment in the state of <strong>Utah</strong>.2012 <strong>Utah</strong> <strong>Bike</strong> Summit - UTAH <strong>Bike</strong> ElevatedThe Fourth Annual <strong>Utah</strong> <strong>Bike</strong> Summit is the top gathering in the state of <strong>Utah</strong>for bicycle and trail advocates, representatives from our bike industries,cycling event promoters, city planners, representatives from <strong>Utah</strong>’s tourismindustry, local and state government officials. It’s an opportunity to network,collaborate, educate and empower all summit attendees. The goal is to cometogether with these joint interests to improve cycling infrastructure andsafety, get more <strong>Utah</strong>ns on bikes and bring more cycling tourism to our state.The theme for the 2012 summit is UTAH: <strong>Bike</strong> Elevated. It is a call for all of us to reach higher anddo more to build a better bicycling future for our state!The 2012 <strong>Utah</strong> <strong>Bike</strong> Summit will include a keynote address by Randy Neufeld of SRAM, apresentation about <strong>Utah</strong>’s new high school mountain biking league (NICA), the Road Respectcampaign and legislative reports. The summit will bring back a popular feature of last year’ssummit: the “State of the <strong>Bike</strong>” reports which spotlight a few communities across the state. Inaddition there will be panel discussions on how to make more bike friendly businesses andcampuses in <strong>Utah</strong>, how to move bike advocacy forward in the state and a focus on the positiveimpact that cycling/biking tourism has in <strong>Utah</strong>’s towns.“<strong>Utah</strong> is sitting on a gold mind with the wealth of potential as a statewith great cycling and mountain biking opportunities.
