Peracetic acid formulationswere developed by Minntech Corporation in 1976 and arecurrently being used in a wide variety of applications. MarCor Purification distributes Minncare Cold Sterilant to theMedical, Pharmaceutical and Industrial Marketplace.Superior Biocidal ActivityProtect reverse osmosis membranes and their associateddistribution systems against short- and long-term bacterialproblems. Minncare Cold Sterilant is a powerful oxidantthat stops organism growth by oxidizing microbial cellproteins and enzyme systems and effectively removesbiofilms.Minncare Cold Sterilant provides a 6 log reductionof bacteria population at a 100X dilution (1%) withina 36-minute soak time. Elimination of bacterialcontamination will help improve product quality andcontribute to increased RO membrane life.Minncare Cold Sterilant may eliminate the need for acidcleaning of fouled membranes prior to disinfection in caseswhere transition metals, such as iron, are not present.Biodegradable and Ease of DisposalMinncare Cold Sterilant is biodegradable and willdecompose into oxygen, water and acetic acid. It poses nothreat to municipal waste treatment plants.* Residual teststrips are available that accurately verify rinse-out levels ofMinncare Cold Sterilant as low as one part per million.Compatible w/ Thin Film CompositeMembranesMinncare Cold Sterilant gently and completely cleansmembranes. Minntech peracetic acid formulationshave been successfully used at hundreds of locations onthin film composite membranes and cellulose acetatemembranes. Many of the applications have includedextended soak times. Minncare Cold Sterilant willdisinfect membranes and protect against decreasedflux that is commonly associated with the use offormaldehyde.No Toxic-Aldehyde VaporsMinncare Cold Sterilant protects employees fromexposure to toxic aldehyde vapors. Although propercare must be taken when handling concentratedMinncare Cold Sterilant, the use-dilution formrequires no exceptional handling procedures.*Spent Minncare Cold Sterilant is acidic and requires normal neutralizationas specified by your state and local regulations. A 1% solution of MinncareCold Sterilant has a pH of 3.5.

Designed by the producers ofMinncare Cold Sterilant, these test strips combine ease-ofusewith precise results.Both the Minncare 1% TS and the Minncare Residual TestStrips may be used up to and including the last day of themonth indicated by the expiration printed on the containereven after opening. There is no need to separately recordand verify container opening dates.Minncare ® 1% Test StripsMinncare 1% Test Strips verify adequate concentration of a 1%Minncare solution during sanitization of your high purity watersystem. These convenient dip-and-read strips can be used atany test port in your system to provide an accurate pass/failmeasurement of Minncare solution.Minncare ® Residual Test StripsMinncare Residual Test Strips are easy to use and areconveniently packaged 100 test strips per container.Each strip has a “reaction zone” pad located at one endof the strip. When stored and used properly, the teststrip pad can indicate residual Minncare levels as low as1 part per million (ppm).
