Get a head start this summer with Bishop O’Dowd High School Prep courses:The High School Prep program helps prepare incoming freshmen for O’Dowd’s rigorous academics, as well asoffers courses that provide valuable skills for school and for life. The Summer Academy affords our new students theopportunity to become comfortable with the campus, to meet some of the teachers they will have during the upcomingschool year, and to make new friends in a more relaxed educational environment. Students can build their own schedule,taking multiple classes in their areas of interest or need.Please note that College Prep Language Skills and Algebra 1- Intensified classes are required for some incomingfreshmen and are not intended as elective classes. Students will be notified by O’Dowd if they need to register for oneor both of these classes. If after taking the Math placement exam you are notified you are no longer required to take theAlgebra 1-Intensified class, then we will issue a refund or transfer your registration to another class at no charge.The High School Prep Program is only open to O’Dowd students or those from Catholic high schools in the Diocese ofOakland.June 18-July 11You may mix and match classes from our 1 hour and 2 hour offerings.Students who are taking academic classes as part of the High School Prep Program will need to attend a two-hour Tech Check workshop on eitherJune 16 or June 17.
