MEDICAL ArchivesIII Why Do You Need an Archivist?Archivists are knowledge-management professionals. They havespecialized training in both making the most of and protectingyour information assets. They manage permanently valuablerecords by:• appraising records with the help of those who originallyreceived, created and/or used them.
