You should schedule your arrival in <strong>Budapest</strong> not later then 26 August <strong>2012</strong>. The registrationand the first meeting with your mentors and the Erasmus <strong>Student</strong> Network (ESN)representatives will be on 27 August in the afternoon. Those who will be late for thisregistration can register at our office during office hours. The city is approximately 20 kms far <strong>from</strong> the airport. There is an AirportMinibus Service available at both terminals, which takes you to the address you provide at aprice of HUF 3000 local currency (approx. € 10). There is also taxi service, which is safe withfixed price, called FÖTAXI. There is also public transportation, very cheap, but maybeinconvenient for you. DO NOT change money at the airport, the exchange rate there is verybad! Health insurance informationPlease, be aw<strong>are</strong> that BME health insurance policy requires each of its students to purchase alocal health insurance package, if the applicant has no valid insurance. Therefore, if you donot want to purchase this insurance, then bring along documents of your health insurance(EU health insurance card if you have). If you’d prefer buying health insurance in <strong>Hungary</strong>we can assist you in that. Please contact us about it during the orientation week.Registration, ESN, first steps of administration (NEPTUN system)For the registration you will need the following:Valid passport or ID1 passport sized photo (if you didn’t send it with your application)Valid insurance cardLetter of acceptance (print out the one we sent you)Filled registration form (can be downloaded <strong>from</strong> the website soon)Registration will take place on 27 August in the afternoon, we will inform you about theexact place and time later. The BME Erasmus <strong>Student</strong> Network (ESN)representative will also contact you in the middle of August. They will assign a mentor toyou, an ESN student who will help you in getting to know the university and <strong>Budapest</strong>. Theywill organise programs for you (welcome party and even a freshman camp) during theorientation week. They will help you in the registration as well. They also plan to help you inthe flat searching! They will contact you about the time and place to meet them. Please followtheir instruction precisely!After having your Neptun access data with your letter of acceptance you can have a look atour administration system called NEPTUN here:https://frame.neptun.bme.hu/hallgatoi/login.aspxYour login name is your student ID code which you can find on your letter of acceptance orwill be sent you later. Your password is your birth date with this format: YYYYMMDD. Youhave to change this password at your first login.All your courses with timetable will be registered in this system so it’s well advisable to get toknow it as soon as possible.<strong>We</strong> <strong>are</strong> looking forward to working with you during your time at BME.
