<strong>M2</strong> <strong>Small</strong> <strong>Shower</strong>, <strong>Toilet</strong> & <strong>Commode</strong> <strong>Chair</strong>User InstructionsApril 2009WheelsRemoving and replacing the seat moduleAdjusting the seat heightBefore using the <strong>M2</strong> chair forshowering or toileting ensurethe brakes are applied on allfour wheels by pressing thegrey ribbed area of thewheels down.The <strong>M2</strong> has telescopic legsenabling the seat height tobe adjusted to suit the user.Apply the brakes to all fourwheels.Lay the chair on its side andremove the height adjustment clips by pushing onthe two open sides of the clips with your thumbs.Slide the leg in and out to the desired height andreplace the clips. Make sure the clips are pushedall the way through the legs to ensure stability.Repeat the procedure on the remaining three legs.All wheels should be at the same height.Height Adjustable FootrestsThe footrests slot into the twoholders at the front of the chairframe.The height of the footrests canbe adjusted to suit individualusers. Remove the heightadjustment clips by pushing on the two open sidesof the clips with your thumbs. Slide the footrest inand out to the desired height and replace the clipsensuring they are all the way through the stainlesssteel tubing.The angle of the footplates can be inclined. Simplyremove each footrest from the chair, detach theadjustment clips, turn the footplate 180° andreplace the clips. Position the footrests on theopposite side of the chair.ArmrestsThe armrests havethe ability to beswiveled backwardsto facilitate sidetransfers.The armrests can be removed completely if liftedvertically and pulled free of the chair over thepositioning bolt.The seat can be removedand replaced for cleaning orif multiple seats arepurchased for individualsfor use with one frame.The seat module isremoved by lifting the seat module upwards fromthe frame holding both sides of the seat module.The seat is replaced by applying a light pressure oneither side of the seat module.The seat lid fits over the aperture and covers theentire seat module.<strong>Commode</strong> PanIf using a commode pan, ensurethe pan is slid straight forwardsor backwards along the seat.On the underside of the seatmodule the commode panholders can be tightened bybending the wings closer to the seat to enable afirmer grip on the commode pan or indeed loosenedaccordingly.Potential Risks, Cautions and Warnings• The user is at risk if the <strong>M2</strong> chair is not properlyset up to their requirements.• When adjusting the seat height and footrestheight of the <strong>M2</strong> chair ensure the adjustmentclips are pushed fully through the holes beforeuse.• Ensure the seat module is correctly “snapped”back in place before use.• Before using the chair for showering or toiletingapply all four brakes.Care and Maintenance• Wipe down the framework with soapy waterand a soft cloth to reduce the build up of soapand limescale.• Cleaning with a scouring pad is not advised.• Maximum temperature 80°c.HelplineShould you have any concerns either pre or postpurchase of the chair contact our Customer ServiceTeam on Freephone 0800 212709 or +44 (0) 1440705352, to discuss further.
