<strong>AA222</strong> / <strong>AA220</strong>Audio TravellerMiddle ear analyzerThe <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong> is the most comprehensivecombination of middle ear analyzer andclinical audiometer available. It combines all ofthe diagnostic middle ear analyzer tests found onthe AT235 and most of the features available onour popular AD229 diagnostic audiometer – allin one small, lightweight package. This makesthe <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong> ideal for the new clinic, fortravelling to alternate locations, and for clinicalsituations where space is at a premium.Middle Ear AnalyzerInteracoustics middle ear analyzers are knownfor their ”endless airflow” engineering technique.This is the perfect method for obtaininga tympanogram on crying children or difficult totest patients when physical sealing is difficult.An automatic adaptive pump speed producestympanograms with high peak resolution withoutsacrificing test time. Other pump speed optionsare available.The <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong> has several other featuresthat makes it easy to use. With the push of onebutton you can extend the pressure range from+300 daPa to –600 daPa. With the push buttonon the probe, the examiner can switch betweenleft or right ears for labeling the tests, and initiatethe test. Another button labeled »child« automaticallyproduces a moving choo-choo train as avisual distracter for the child.ETFThe <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong> performs a single EustachianTube Function test suitable for use when the eardrumis intact. Three tympanograms are producedfrom which the condition of the Eustachian tubecan be inferred. Easy to understand instructionsguide you through the ETF1 Test procedureDecay – Contra and IpsiAcoustic reflex decay testing is available withipsilateral as well as with contralateral stimulation.The <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong> comes with a standard singleTDH39 and a button insert receiver (CIR22) forstimulating the contralateral ear.Probe SystemsThe <strong>AA222</strong> is supplied with a combi probe systemthat is easily interchanged for screening and clinicaltesting purposes. The screening probe tip isideal for quick tymps and a screening reflex, whilethe diagnostic probe provides more stability formore lengthy exams that include tymps, reflexes,reflex decay and ETF. The probe has a button forchanging ears remotely from the <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong>and for starting and pausing the test.Reflex TestsTraditional ipsilateral and contralateral reflex testsare standard features. The <strong>AA222</strong>/<strong>AA220</strong> has awide variety of test stimuli available that areusually only found on more expensive instruments.Even wide band, high pass and low passsignals are available. The examiner has twoprogrammable test sequences available fromthe front panel. The manual function allows theexaminer to quickly select a single frequency fortest verification.
