He said therisk of a nuclear war was real and was thebiggest threat to today’s civilisation.The event attracted an audience of morethan 1,000 people, including GovernmentMinisters, Ambassadors of State,Members of both Houses of Parliamentand various other dignitaries and guestsfrom all walks of life. The theme of thisyear’s Symposium was ‘The Pathway toPeace’.During his keynote address Ḥaḍrat MirzāMasroor Aḥmad spoke about the need forpeace and justice; the escalating conflictsin the Far East; the war in Syria and theincreasing risks of a global, nuclear war.He also offered a solution for globalunrest based on the teachings of the HolyQur’ān.Ḥaḍrat Mirzā Masroor Aḥmad began byspeaking about the pressing needs of thetime. He said:“To strive for peace is a nobleambition and is something that theworld has always stood in great needof.
