Nomination of students as candidates for the formal evaluation process.2. Review of those nominations by a <strong>Gifted</strong> Review Team (teacher of the gifted, regular educationteachers and administrators as appropriate) to decide if the student does or does not appear to be acandidate for the gifted program. The <strong>Gifted</strong> Review Team may meet without parent permission.3. Collection of data in all four areas, mental ability, achievement, motivation, and creativity, toidentify those students who meet the state criteria for placement in the gifted program.
