Seamus Butler ,President of the <strong>Longford</strong> Chamber of Commerce & Industry andwill take place betw een 27th and 29th September 2013 in<strong>Longford</strong> Town.Over 3,000 visitors attended an open day in r elation to theCathedral restoration in 2011. The huge level of interest in theproject has led to a commitment by RTE to the commissioning ofa documentary on the restoration project. The Festival is built onthe idea of having a festival weekend with many events includingthe opening up S t. Mel’s Cathedral on a tempor ary basis. Weissue a unique invitation worldwide to ev eryone with the nameMel (the Patron Saint of <strong>Longford</strong>) to visit <strong>Longford</strong>.
