Holly and Julliard Tutor Rodney JonesJulliard Winter Jazz SchoolThe Julliard Winter Jazz School is a one-week residential program for high school musicians who are dedicated,disciplined and passionate about jazz. This is the only Julliard School offered in Australia and Holly shares herexperience:„During the recent holiday break, I was part of the Julliard Winter Jazz School Program. I auditioned for it a fewmonths earlier. It was an intense week of playing, attending master classes and listening classes and learningmore bout jazz. Two teachers from the Julliard School – Carl Allen and Rodney Jones were there and haveplayed with some of the most incredible people including Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, James Brown and MaceoParker. They also brought along four Masters students from the Julliard School. They were amazing. Learningfrom these players was an unforgettable experience – the support they gave me was unbelievable and reallydifficult to express in words.
