513 Mrs. Kunz’s Class Project: Chihulystyle
drawing wall.*
Drawing on the inspiration of
their tour of the Dale Chihuly
exhibit at the De Young Museum
during the beginning of the school
year, the students of Mrs. Kunz’s
class have created a priceless work
of art! A composite of individual
artist’s tiles, this work was created
with contributions from all the
students and Mrs. Kunz herself.
Employing a creative and novel
technique, this piece was created
by layering plaster on poster
board which was then engraved by
the artists and brightened using
contemporary water colors with
flecks of gold folded in. The result
is a mosaic of youthful expression
that will add a touch of sunshine
to any home, office or classroom.
Bid early and often on this one; it
is sure to be the highlight of the
classroom art auction!
