Manneken Pis, Brussels Day 4 Visit Beer Brewery Onto Ghent Guided City Tour of Ghent after a continental breakfast, we check out of and visit a beer brewery. a trip to Bruges is incomplete without a visit to the beer brewery. Get ready to learn a lesson or two on beers. Discover the old traditional brewing methods. sip the homemade draught beer ‘Brugse Zot’ and a tasty regional beer. to make things more exciting, our experienced guide will teach you everything about malt and hops. Later we drive to Ghent -capital and biggest city of the East Flanders province and the largest car-free area in Belgium. on an orientation tour, see Market place, saint Bavo Cathedral - home of the world famous ‘Mystic Lamb’ painting (closed on sundays), with the Ghent altarpiece, the belfry, the Gravensteen castle, and the splendid architecture along the old Graslei harbour. the evening is free to explore this beautiful city on your own and soak in the romantic atmosphere. overnight at astoria Hotel Ghent or similar in Ghent. (B, L, D) Bruges, Belgium Day 5 Onto Brussels Orientation Tour of Brussels after a continental breakfast, we check out of and proceed to Brussels - the Capital of the Belgium & the European union. on arrival, we proceed for an orientation tour of Brussels. see the adorable Manneken Pis statue, a charming fountain of a little boy, today the symbol of Brussels, the beautiful Grand Place, the town Hall, Municipal Museum, the royal Palace, st. Michael’s Cathedral and the mammoth Palace of Justice. Here you have time to shop from famous Belgium chocolates, waffles, gingerbread biscuits, fresh creamy pralines. you can also pickup a few souvenirs from the many shops lined around the Grand Place. Next, we stop at the atomium, a structure representing the concept of an iron molecule enlarged 165 billion times. Later, proceed to antwerp - Belgium’s second largest city and boasts Europe’s largest harbor. on an orientation tour, visit the Market square, with its ancient houses and our Lady’s Cathedral. this cathedral contains, along with other treasures, two of ruben’s master works, “the Elevation of the Cross” and “the Decent from the Cross.” antwerp is the world’s diamond center where ‘diamonds love antwerp’. overnight at Hotel Novotel Nord or similar in antwerp. Day 6 Keukenhof Gardens or Madurodam Wooden Shoe Factory and Photostop at a Windmill Canal Cruise after a continental breakfast, we visit Keukenhof Gardens, the famed National Flower Exhibition (till mid-May). Like the million visitors who journey here annually, you will be spellbound at the sight of beautiful displays of over seven million tulips, narcissi and other flowers, spread over 80 acres of stunning landscape and thematic gardens. or we drive to the Hague, political capital of the Netherlands, to visit Madurodam Holland in miniature. Feel like a giant amidst models of palaces, canals, windmills, airports & even doll-like figures in postures of daily activities. you have free time to relax at this miniature city of Holland. We later visit ratterman’s Wooden shoe Factory. Enjoy a demonstration on the art of making wooden shoes. avail of the opportunity to shop for wooden shoes and Dutch souvenirs. Next, we stop at one of the windmills a symbol of the Netherlands, a splendid backdrop for a family photograph. Discover amsterdam in a novel manner, as we take you on a canal cruise, the best way to see this captivating city. Enjoy the splendour of the 17th Century canals, as you cruise through the most picturesque parts of amsterdam. Later, we return to antwerp. overnight at Hotel Novotel Nord or similar in antwerp. (B, L, D) 84 Day 7 Cologne Cathedral Rhine Cruise Orientation Tour of Heidelberg after a continental breakfast, we check-out of the hotel and drive to Cologne, famous for Eau de Cologne. Visit the magnificent Cologne Cathedral. this 515 ft tall Gothic Cathedral, which took almost six centuries to build, can hold upto 40,000 people and is Germany’s most visited monument. We then proceed for a cruise on the river rhine. We go past the legendary Lorelei rock, medieval castles atop riverside cliffs, vineyards and quaint towns with half-timbered houses. We continue our journey to Heidelberg. on arrival we take you for an orientation tour of Heidelberg, surrounded by mountains and forests. take this opportunity to stroll through ‘alstadt’ the old town, full of narrow alleys and cobble-stoned streets. Experience the laid back atmosphere at the Market square with its fountain of Hercules and many sidewalk cafes. take a picture of the famed ruins of the Heidelberg Castle, high up on the Koningstuhl Mountains. overnight at hotel Park Inn or similar in Germany.
