Rome Tour Operators<br />
<strong>The</strong> Roman sightseeing tour operators were last covered in OJ35. Here thanks to Maurice Bateman we present<br />
corrections and updates. We also cover those open-top sightseeing tours outwith Rome in which City Sightseeing<br />
does not have an interest; those in which they do will be covered later.<br />

30/3: <strong>The</strong>se two Sca K310IB De Simon single-deckers were noted 3/08 as O49D whereas they were previously<br />
recorded as O55D.<br />
DD 992 DD: This Ibs 397.10.29 Dalla Via O43D on the Archeobus tour was noted with fleetnumber 4 in 3/08.<br />
Roma Cristiana: Is not a Trambus Open tour but is a hop-on hop-off tour operated by Trambus Open buses on<br />
behalf of Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi. This operation started 4/05 and expanded into two lines by early 2007<br />
although by 5/09 it had reverted to just one route. Trambus Open 01 & 05 were repainted from red to a white &<br />
yellow-ochre livery to start the tour. Buses 14/5, 26-30/32/3 plus DV 489 SL above carry a more pleasing<br />
yellow & white livery for this tour from new and Volvo Ayats 16 and 18 were repainted from red into this livery<br />
by3/08 and additionally fitted with a Perspex type see-through roof canopy (possibly due to tram or trolleybus<br />
wires on the route of Linea B). Both 01 (by4/07) & 05 (by5/07) were repainted back to red for the main<br />
110open tour.<br />
