This entry contains a ‘first-time’ report on Rhode Island and a small update to the recent reports on Maryland;
also following the publication of the Barton fleet history (PE15) I have tried to summarise the Barton disposals to
North America that appear to be missing from that fleet history. I must thank Steve & Ross Newman, Bob Martin

At 6/09, 311 - 15 were still carrying Maryland (MD) plates 006-P78 – P82, as given last time.
General
Washington DC Double Decker Tours, Washington. KYV 804X, delivered here in April as reported last time, has
been numbered 323; this bus carried the England World Cup-winning Rugby team through London to crowds
of well over 1m people. 310 has been taken out of service due to it requiring some major work; BYX 242V may
well take the vacant number 310 when it enters service in Washington. Recent information from the company
infers that I have recorded nos. 310, 313-5 incorrectly. They are (were) LAT 502/4V, FKM 266/70V but not in
the order I have shown them thus far; I am holding off issuing a correction until I can be certain of the correct
situation. Any offers from anyone?
The Metrobuses from Seville undergo refurbishment before they leave Spain; M61 (WYW 61T) was due to join
them but as it was not ready in time for the height of the tourist season (June/July), its future role is uncertain
just now.
