Within easy access of the citycentre and major transport routes, we are ideally situ<strong>at</strong>ed for your conference, day course orsummer school.We can offer a wide choice of venues, which canbe booked all year round, but with a gre<strong>at</strong>er choiceduring the <strong>University</strong> vac<strong>at</strong>ions.Our professional and friendly staff are always available to help make your event a success.Wh<strong>at</strong>ever your requirements we look forward to meeting, and being of service to, you and yourguests.<strong>Oxford</strong> has been a centre of learning for seven centuries and continues this tradition today. It is a city where past and present exist side by side, where quiet andtranquillity are but a step away from the hustle and bustle of a busy, lively modern city.<strong>Oxford</strong> has cinemas, the<strong>at</strong>res, typical English pubs and a vast range of restaurants providingcuisine for all tastes and all pockets. In addition there is an ice rink, swimming pools and in thesummer th<strong>at</strong> most famous of all <strong>Oxford</strong>’s activities, punting.<strong>Oxford</strong> has something for everyone


<strong>Conference</strong> Inform<strong>at</strong>ion<strong>Oxford</strong> <strong>Brookes</strong> <strong>University</strong> has three campuses, Headington, Harcourt Hill and Whe<strong>at</strong>ley, whererooms are available for your booking. Each of these has an overhead projector, screen andwhiteboard but, should you require, more audio visual aids are available for use <strong>at</strong> your event,these are:- Flip Charts - CD Player- TV & Video - D<strong>at</strong>a Projector- Hand Held Microphones - 35mm Slide Projector- Lapel Radio - Microphones Cassette Recorder- Technical SupportWe can provide a high standard of c<strong>at</strong>ering from tea and coffee to formal dinners. Altern<strong>at</strong>ively, <strong>at</strong>each of the campuses, there is a refectory where food and drink can be purchased (these havelimited opening times out of term time).The map below shows where our different campuses are loc<strong>at</strong>ed:


Headington CampusThe Headington Campus is made up of two sites, the Gipsy Lane site and the Headington Hill site.It has an extensive range of lecture the<strong>at</strong>res, meeting halls and seminar, <strong>com</strong>mittee and teachingrooms of varying sizes which can meet the needs of any conference of course.The rooms vary in capacities from our smallest th<strong>at</strong> will <strong>com</strong>fortably se<strong>at</strong> 12 people to our MainHall which can se<strong>at</strong> 360 people in a the<strong>at</strong>re style, or which can be used as an exhibition hall.The large refectory offers a range of cuisine in a relaxed <strong>at</strong>mosphere and JB’s coffee shop isavailable for specialist coffee and snacks.The RefectoryBoardroom2The Main HallAlso available on site:• Barclays and N<strong>at</strong>ional Westminster cash points• Coin and card oper<strong>at</strong>ed telephones• Post box• Bookshop• Headington Hill HallHeadington Hill Hall provides an elegant setting for any function, from business meetings toweddings. Three rooms are available <strong>at</strong> the Hall, the Music, Green and Dining room, which canall be linked together if required, a perfect way to enjoy dining or informal g<strong>at</strong>herings. Separ<strong>at</strong>ely,the Music and Green Rooms will <strong>com</strong>fortably ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>e 26 people in a boardroom style, or upto 40 in a the<strong>at</strong>re style. The Dining Room can ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>e 14 people boardroom style and up to20 the<strong>at</strong>re style.Dining RoomMusic RoomGreen Room


Whe<strong>at</strong>ley CampusThe Whe<strong>at</strong>ley Campus is set in 65 acres of parkland, approxim<strong>at</strong>ely seven miles east from <strong>Oxford</strong>City.The Main EntranceBeing self contained, the campus is ideally suited to running conferences and courses andbenefits from a wide choice of seminar, meeting and lecture rooms which can suit any size group.Whe<strong>at</strong>ley has two main large halls available for lectures or large conference events. The DoraCohen Hall has a capacity of 250 and is loc<strong>at</strong>ed close to the entrance of the campus and near therefectory. EL19 is a room th<strong>at</strong> can ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>e 275 people and is loc<strong>at</strong>ed in the ‘EntranceLodge’, which is again near the entrance and refectory. Smaller rooms such as EL20 can be usedfor smaller groups and are perfect for use as breakout rooms.EL19EL20The refectory has just been modernised and offers a range of cuisine and a specialist coffee shop.Vending machines are also available throughout the campus.All the rooms can be set out as you require and audio and visual equipment can be arranged, asoutlined in the first page of this brochure, as can a full range of c<strong>at</strong>ering services.Whe<strong>at</strong>ley also has sports facilities available, which include a fitness trail, tennis courts and footballgrounds.


Harcourt Hill CampusThe Harcourt Hill Campus is loc<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> approxim<strong>at</strong>ely 2 miles to the west of <strong>Oxford</strong>. The campus,which is also known as the Westminster Institute is <strong>at</strong> the top of Harcourt Hill and offers stunningviews of the dreaming spires of <strong>Oxford</strong>.The QuadHarcourt Hill benefits from a large range of rooms which can ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>e most conferencerequirements. The The<strong>at</strong>re is a beautifully presented hall with a capacity of 250. Harcourt Hillalso has a large number of breakout rooms with capacities ranging from 25 to 80. All rooms canbe set out to meet your specific requirements, with audio visual equipment and c<strong>at</strong>ering as youwish. The large refectory has a variety of choice and there is a selection of vending machinesaround the campus.The BoardroomThe The<strong>at</strong>re


Ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ionIf out of term time, residential conferences and courses are ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ed on one of our sevenhalls of residence. Most are loc<strong>at</strong>ed within easy walking distance of the Headington campus. Ifyour event is <strong>at</strong> the Whe<strong>at</strong>ley Campus, then ‘Lady Spencer Churchill Hall’ is loc<strong>at</strong>ed on site. Ifyour event is <strong>at</strong> our Harcourt Hill Campus then we also have a purpose built building, ‘Z-House’,specifically for conference bookings which can be used all year round.• Clive Booth HallJohn Garne Way, OX3 0TUClive Booth Hall is within easy walking distance of theHeadington Campus. The ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ion is set out infl<strong>at</strong>s of 5 or 6 en-suite bedrooms with shared kitchen, livingand dining rooms. The typical bedroom size is 2.7 m X 4m.There is a laundrette on site.• Crescent HallCrescent Road, OX4 2NSCrescent Hall is loc<strong>at</strong>ed approxim<strong>at</strong>ely two miles from theHeadington Campus on a direct and regular bus route.The ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ion is set out in fl<strong>at</strong>s of 6 or 7 bedroomswith shared a shared kitchen and b<strong>at</strong>hrooms. The typicalbedroom size is 2.3m X 3.65 m. There is a laundrette onsite.• Harcourt Hill HallBotley, OX2 9ATHarcourt Hill Hall is loc<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> the top of Harcourt Hillapproxim<strong>at</strong>ely 5 miles from the Headington Campus on adirect bus route to Headington and Whe<strong>at</strong>ley. Theac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ion is set out in groups of 11 bedrooms withshared kitchen and b<strong>at</strong>hrooms. The typical bedroom sizeis 4m X 3m.On site there is a sports hall, swimming pool, bar andchapel.• Harcourt Hill Hall (Z-House)Z-House is set out as a large house with good sized en-suite bedrooms, shared kitchen and<strong>com</strong>munal area.

The typical bedroom size is 2.74m X3.96m• Morrell Hall:John Garne Way, OX3 0TUMorrell Hall is within easy walking distance of theHeadington Campus. The ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ion is set out in fl<strong>at</strong>sof 5 or 6 bedrooms with shared kitchen/<strong>com</strong>munal area andb<strong>at</strong>hroom. On sitethere is a laundrette, bar and social area.• Paul Kent HallJames Wolfe Road, OX3 2WAPaul Kent Hall is loc<strong>at</strong>ed approxim<strong>at</strong>ely 1.5 miles from theHeadington Campus and is on a direct bus route. Mostbedrooms are en-suite and are set out in groups of 6 and 9with shared kitchens. The typical room size is 5m X 2 m. Onsite there is a laundrette and a <strong>com</strong>munal room.• Warneford Hall:Roosevelt Drive, OX3 7XAWarneford Hall is loc<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> the end of Gipsy Lane and iswithin easy walking distance of the Headington Campus.The ac<strong>com</strong>mod<strong>at</strong>ion is set out in fl<strong>at</strong>s of six bedrooms withkitchen and showers.
