7EDLC TRUSTEASTER HOLIDAYACTIVITY PROGRAMME 20127Wild by NatureWild by Nature have designed some fun Eco Adventure experiences for children during their schoolsbreaks. Although parents and guardians must drop off their children and uplift at the end of theexperiences, no parents are required to attend during the experiences.You should expect that the children will be placed in situations where they will have to interact and usetheir initiative throughout the activity. The children will also be encouraged to get muddy and explorethe countryside and if it rains or if the outdoor leader deems it appropriate, may encourage the childrento muck around and jump into the water, at the end of a canoe Safari for example. Conversely if the airtemperature is too cold or some other hazardous of constraining factors prevail, the leader maydiscourage them from getting wet.Throughout these experiences children will be required to work as a team and carry canoes etc at thestart and end of the activity and follow instructions. Although helping and follow instructions iscompulsory, on all other elements we try to nurture, encourage and never force children to have a goat different things. All adventures leave at 10.00 and return at 13.00 from our adventure base which youcan find directions for at www.wildbynature.eu , please park in the public car parks nearby. Ensure yourchild/ children are suitable dressed for the outdoors carrying any prescribed daily medication such asinhalers and carrying a waterproof jacket wearing a warm top. On land activities a stout pair of boots orshoes is needed with a good grip and for water based activities a change of clothing needs to be broughtwith the child wearing old trainers which can get wet and muddy.OPEN CANOE SAFARISEnjoy fantastic trip paddling in stable open canoes down a meandering stretch of the River Kelvin or theHistoric Forth and Clyde canal depending on water levels, with the real chance of seeing a wide variety ofwildlife, including roe deer, kingfisher, foxes and mink, while learning about the natural history, heritageand folklore of the area surrounding the river or canal.
