Support, comfort & correctionFeatures of Hybrid Seating• The contoured component of Hybrid seating can incorporate a range of the following seating systems:Carved Foam, Moulded, Matrix, Lynx or Kato Plus.• Carved Foam seating provides support, accommodation and comfort for an accurate,more yielding seating solution.• Moulded seating offers simplistic solutions, optimum support and correction combined withexcellent accommodation and comfort. In addition, it provides ease of maintenance and alightweight package.• Matrix and Lynx seating systems offer good support and accommodation coupled with effectivetemperature management and further adaptability should things change. Matrix and Lynx seats aresupplied with a thick quilted Terry cloth cover that can havefoam inserts added to enhance comfort andpressure relief.• Contoured cushions can be fitted into an existingseating system if additional support oraccommodation is required.• Crash tested to ISO/CD.2 16840 - 4 standard.• Hybrid seating system components can be interfacedto a suitable wheelbase or wheelchair using eitherBlatchford’s Adaptable Interfacing System (BAIS),V-Trak or AEL.Considerations WhenChoosing Hybrid SeatingBlatchford’s Hybrid seating system isany combination of modular and/orcontoured seating systems. This mayincorporate the growth and adapabilityof the Kato system through semibespokemodular design combinedwith the contoured seating range,accurately contouring topostural needs.The combinations used in constructinga Hybrid seating system may not bespecified until after initial assessment orcasting. All components of the Hybridseating system are manufactured atour Sheffield site in the UK and can bereadily adapted to suit individual needs.• Lynx and Matrix systems are lighter weight witheffective temperature management.• The assessment team can determinethe exact specifications andsubsequent dimensional dataof the proposed seatingsystem, ensuring full useof its flexibility toaccommodate growthand postural change.• Maximum flexibility andadaptability to meetindividual needs.
