SynoPSiS
Agnes, a scientist, has got her job and family life
under control. One day her sister hands her keys to
an apartment where she is to look after the plants.
Agnes gradually takes over the place as if it was
her own. When she falls asleep in the apartment, a
strange man is lying closely behind her. Although
Agnes doesn’t really look at him, they make love.
They see each other regularly and live like ordinary
lovers knowing that their relationship has no future.
director’S Statement
I am interested in Agnes as a woman who has
organised her life with great discipline, only then to
be overcome by the need to abandon her plans. To
me it was less a matter of rationally understanding
Agnes than of empathising with the growth of a
feeling that proves irresistible. And then how this
woman is controlling her loss of control.
director’S BiograPhy
LOLA RANDL was born in Munich in 1980. She studied
at the Cologne Academy of Media Arts from 2001 to
2006 and graduated from the Munich Screenwriting
Workshop in 2007. After highly acclaimed short feature
and documentaries, among them AFTERNOON
PROGRAM (2004) and FEEL-GOOD WEEKEND (2006),
DAYS IN BETWEEN is her long feature film debut.
caSt BiograPhieS
Sylvana Krappatsch was born in 1965. Since her
studies at the Academy of Film- and Television
Babelsberg/Potsdam she has been working for
numerous theatre venues, among them TAT in
Frankfurt and Kampnagel in Hamburg. She was
awarded best upcoming actress in 1996, played at
Schauspielhaus Zürich from 2000 to 2005, and is
a member of Münchner Kammerspiele since 2005.
DAYS IN BETWEEN is her cinema debut.
André Jung, born 1953 in Luxemburg, studied at the
Stuttgart Academy of Music and Performing Arts.
After theatre work in Basel, Hamburg, and Zürich
he became a regular member of the Münchner
Kammerspiele in 2004. His most important films
are Dominique de Rivaz’ LUFTBUSINESS, Thomas
Heinemann’s IN FRONT IS DAMN FAR AWAY, and
Oliver Hirschbiegel’s THE EXPERIMENT.
