Waugh Street at theMunicipal Court Building. From there, the group will run downThornton Avenue to Bryman’s Plaza. At Bryman’s Plaza, they willboard buses and ride to the South Bypass at Lakeland Road. Fromthere, they will run along the Bypass to Valley Point Elementarywhere they will greet students. From there, the group will run alongHighway 41 to the Gordon County line.Gordon County (Calhoun)Contact: Gordon County Sheriff’s Office; Shirley Woodall (706) 879-5450Meet at Gordon County Sheriff’s Office by 8:30am to load up andleave for start location. 9AM begin relay at Confederate Cemetery andrun to Courthouse for a short program at the Courthouse.Cherokee to CobbContact: Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office; Lt. Ken Locke; 770-479-4766Start at 8:00 A.M. at the Oak Grove precinct located off S.R.92 andwill travel down S.R. 92 coming to I-75 we will meet the City ofAcworth at or around 8:30. The run in Cherokee County will be about3 miles. The Cherokee County SWAT team will be running.Contact:Marietta Police Department; Officer Don SmithThe Cherokee run will meet up with the Cobb agencies at the motel(Best Western) on the northwest side of 92 @ I-75 around 0830hrs.We run from 92 to Main Street in Acworth and from there all the wayto Marietta to Church Street Extension to Church Street to the Squareand end at the Marietta Police Department. We can also take a detourin each City for a photo opportunity in front of your agency orbuilding if you would like to.We will leave Marietta PD at 0745hrs and travel to 92 @ I-75 to waitfor Cherokee SO. We will travel in a couple of vehicles and apassenger van. Any agency that wishes to can meet us here or we canall meet at the scene.
