Have recently returned fromtrip overseas and one of the places my wife and I visited was the CastleNeuschwanstein, commonly called the fairy tale castle and the subject ofmany posters and jigsaw puzzles, situated in the southern part of Germany.Waiting in the hall for the guide to arrive, when I noticed a younggentleman talking to some people across from us.At first I thought I heard an Australian accent, but then hearing the othersin the group, gathered that it was actually an American accent. The younglad kept looking at us and I could hear ‘Adelaide’ a few times mentioned. All of a sudden he marches across and asks if I’m Dusan Vavic. I say yes,and he introduces himself as Jeff Cameron-Smith. My jaw drops andmy eyes widen. This is the lad that played in the same team with myson, Nathan, over seventeen years ago!!!!! He recognised me, but I didn’trecognise him, as he had grown quite a bit.His friends took a picture of him with us and he advised that he would send itto his parents, who would be most amazed. His father Michael Cameron-Smithwas on the committee many years ago and helped the club in many ways.Just goes to show that you can find Sturt people anywhere!TALENT IDENTIFICATION CAMPSOver the last school holidays, Talent Identification Camps were held for selectedplayers from all clubs.
