„I´M INTERESTED IN THE DRAMATURGIC AN EMOTIONAL
PROCESSES IN DOCUMENTARIES. IT´S MY REQUEST TO SHOW
ALTERATIONS IN MY DOCUMENTARIES, NOT ONLY TO PICTURIZE
STATE DESCRIPTIONS. I TRY TO PRESENT THE TOPICS I DEAL WITH IN
A PERSONAL AND UNCONVENTIONAL WAY.“
Levin Peter was born on 31.08.1985 in Jena, Germany. His first film projects he realized during school time. As part of his A-Level he made a
documentary about the national uprising of 17th June 1953 in the GDR. After that, he started to work in different postproduction companies. In
August 2006 he visited the occupied tower block „Prestes Maia“ in Sao Paulo. That experience inspired him to shoot a documentary about the
biggest occupied tower block in whole Latin America, together with Jonas Ginter. This project was realised in co-production with ZDF/ARTE in
2008. In september 2008 he started to study at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, specialized on documentaries.
