ANDHRA PRADESH ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION<br />

The <strong>Commission</strong> <strong>intends</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>fill</strong> <strong>up</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>post</strong> <strong>of</strong> Secretary on<br />

deputation basis. The <strong>post</strong> carries with it a pay band (Government <strong>of</strong><br />

India scale) <strong>of</strong> Rs.37,400 –67,000 with a grade pay <strong>of</strong> Rs.10,000. Pay plus<br />

Grade pay would be Rs. 53,000/- in <strong>the</strong> minimum <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> scale. The<br />

qualifications and experience required for <strong>the</strong> <strong>post</strong> are as under:<br />

SECRETARY:<br />

a) Degree from a recognized university. a) Work experience in a<br />

administrative experience out <strong>of</strong><br />

which 5 years at <strong>the</strong> management<br />

complex tasks.<br />

d) Significant pr<strong>of</strong>essional experience<br />

in managing staff, budget and<br />

projects.<br />

e) Excellent written and verbal<br />

communication skills.<br />

Place <strong>of</strong> <strong>post</strong>ing: Hyderabad<br />

government organization.<br />

regulated industry or with a<br />

regula<strong>to</strong>ry body in Power<br />

Sec<strong>to</strong>r.<br />

Pay and allowances: In addition <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> pay, grade pay, DA, HRA, shall<br />

be paid <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> incumbent, if he/she is allowed <strong>to</strong> opt for <strong>the</strong> scale <strong>of</strong> pay<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Commission</strong>. O<strong>the</strong>rwise, <strong>the</strong> pay and allowances <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> parent<br />

organisation plus deputation allowance shall be paid. The deputation<br />

allowance as per <strong>the</strong> rules <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> is 15% <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> basic pay


subject <strong>to</strong> a maximum <strong>of</strong> Rs.3,000/- pm (within same station) and 20% <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> basic pay subject <strong>to</strong> a maximum <strong>of</strong> Rs.4,000/- pm (when <strong>the</strong><br />

individual comes on deputation from a place o<strong>the</strong>r than Hyderabad).<br />

For drawing <strong>the</strong> deputation allowance, pay plus deputation<br />

allowance should not exceed <strong>the</strong> ceilings fixed by <strong>the</strong> Government <strong>of</strong> India<br />

and in cases where <strong>the</strong> scales are dissimilar, pay plus deputation<br />

allowance plus GP/DA/ADA/IR etc should not exceed <strong>the</strong> pay at <strong>the</strong><br />

maximum <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ex-cadre <strong>post</strong> plus DA, IR etc, <strong>the</strong>reon. Before joining<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> <strong>the</strong> terms and conditions <strong>of</strong> deputation should be<br />

mutually agreed <strong>up</strong>on by both <strong>the</strong> organisations.<br />

How <strong>to</strong> apply:<br />

Applications have <strong>to</strong> be made in <strong>the</strong> format annexed <strong>to</strong> this<br />

notification and all <strong>the</strong> applications should be forwarded through proper<br />

channel. Applications should reach <strong>the</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r (Admn.) on or before<br />

16-05-2011 along with a certificate in <strong>the</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>orma mentioned in Part–B<br />

and copies <strong>of</strong> ACRs for <strong>the</strong> past 5 years.<br />
