Raft Certification Workshop Programme:Meeting: Sunday 13.00 14.August, 2010. Rafting Base Faszinatour, Haiming – Meetingand Registration.Day 1. Sunday: On River up to Grade 5 – IRF Raft Guide AssessmentsAssessments include:- Basic Rescue Techniques i.e. A challenging swim, throw bag rescue / recoilrescue, Raft flip drill, Z-drag or any functional 3:1 or 4:1 system built from thereown gear within 5 minutes.Day 2: On River up to Grade 5 - Raft Guide Assessments – All participants of theworkshop are assessed at the Raft Guide Level for the qualification they are going for.i.e. Instructor 4/5 would be assessed on Grade 5 water, Instructor 3 would be assessedon Grade 3 water.Assessments include:- Rafting Techniques and safety brief for Raft Guide Assessments.Day 3: On River Scenario Handling - Trip Leader Assessment – All Trip Leader andInstructor Participants are assessed at handling an emergency scenario.Day 4: Off River – Instructor Assessment – All Instructor Participants are assessed onproviding a presentation on a particular aspect of Raft Guiding.
