of Gardening and Giving
In our 85th anniversary year over 3800 gardens across
England and Wales will open on behalf of the National
Gardens Scheme. In the last 10 years, with your help
we have donated £22 million for nursing, caring and
gardening charities. Thank you.
You can help support the
National Gardens Scheme
Visit a garden – with so many uniquely different gardens
you could be spoilt for choice! A visit typically offers the
chance to meet the garden owner and the opportunity to
enjoy a cup of tea in lovely surroundings. What you spend
in a garden is donated to us by the garden owners.
Open your garden – many gardens that open for the Scheme
are no larger than typical back gardens. Visitors tell us they are
looking for interesting planning and design, or a good range of
plants and especially gardens which have been tended with
love and care. Why not open your garden for the NGS?

Volunteer with us – join our local team of volunteers.
A range of roles is available, so you don’t need to be a
gardening expert, but you should enjoy being part of a
team and meeting new people with the aim of raising
money for some truly great charities
