Sew a 2" Royal Flourish strip to a 2" Red Sprigs & Starsstrip. Press toward the Royal Flourish fabric. Make 2 stripsets. Cut into (30) 2" sections. Sew the sections into (15)four-patch blocks.Sew a 2" Royal Flourish square to the Sky Folio end ofthe rectangle. Sew a 2" Red Sprigs and Stars square to theother end.Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side ofa 2" Royal Flourish square. Place the square, right sidestogether on the top left corner of a 3 ½" Cream MultiFlourish square. Sew on the line and trim seam to ¼" .Press.Make 2.Arrange as shown and sew together to complete the block.Repeat on the top right corner with a 2" Sky Folio square.Make 2.Repeat this process using a 2" Red Sprigs & Stars squareand a 2" Sky Folio square.Make 2.Arrange these sections of the block as shown with the fourpatch units. Sew together.Make 15. The blocks measure 12 ½" unfinished.Arrange the blocks into six rows of five blocks, using thepicture of the quilt as a guide. Sew the rows together,pressing seams in alternating directions. Sew the rowstogether.BordersMeasure your quilt top both ways through the middle.Your quilt may differ slightly in size. If so adjust the borderside accordingly. Press border seams toward the borders.Blue Sprigs & Stars Inner BorderTrim selvages and sew 2" x wof strips together end to endand cut:(2) 2" x 72 ½" strips; sew to each side of the quilt.(2) 2" x 63 ½" strips; sew to the top and bottom.Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side ofa 2" Sky Folio square. Place, right sides together, on the leftside of 2" x 9 ½" Chamois Folio strip. Sew on the line andtrim seam allowance. Press. Repeat on the other end witha 2" Royal Flourish square. Make 2.Red Floral Outer BorderTrim selvages and sew 4 ½" x wof strips together end toend and cut:(2) 4 ½" x 75 ½" strips; sew to each side of the quilt(2) 4 ½" x 71 ½" strips, add to the top and bottom.Layer, quilt and bind with 2 ½" Red Flourish strips.Make 2 more units with a 2" Red Sprigs & Stars square.©2012 Henry Glass & Co., Inc.
