With BIR’s homestayprogram a student lives in the home of an American host family. This arrangement providesstudents with the opportunity to improve their English skills outside of class, feel secure in anew environment, and experience American culture first hand.

English Language ProgramOur comprehensive English Language Program is built around the vital elements of learningthe language. Lectures are dedicated to intensive skill development, workshops give studentsthe opportunity to broaden their English learning, and our Learning Center provides individualand small group tutoring. It all adds up to an unforgettable learning experience in the heart ofChicago.Lec turesEach seven-week course includes lectures that focus intensively on one of theEnglish language skill areas: conversation, reading, and writing. BIR’s approachincludes vocabulary building and grammar into every lecture. How do i Apply?Becoming a BIR StudentThese are the general guidelines for becoming a BIRstudent if you are currentlyin your home country. Whenyou apply to study at BIR a counselor whois proficient in your native language will beassigned to you.
