Computer Build (<strong>Warranted</strong> <strong>Environment</strong>s)Warning: You must ensure that your computer is set up/built to one of the specificwarranted environments as stated below. A warranted environment is a clientenvironment that supports BT software.In reality what this means is if your PC meets this minimum st<strong>and</strong>ard thesoftware/service supplied by BT will function fully <strong>and</strong> correctly.<strong>Warranted</strong> environments meet minimum st<strong>and</strong>ards with respect to the following keycomponents.Operating systemsBrowsersJava virtual machines (JVMs)In order to run the software to support the <strong>SUS</strong> release your PC must meet theminimum specification, which is:Operating systems: Windows XPBrowsers: Internet Explorer v6.0Java Runtime <strong>Environment</strong> (JRE) v1.5Note: There are two types of impacted sub systems:Sub systems that include client side software components, forexample EDTSub systems that expose browser based user interfaces, forexample BOE (<strong>SUS</strong> as Business Objects) <strong>and</strong> Cassius (<strong>SUS</strong> asData Access Service, Ardentia interface)It is the responsibility of your local IT department to ensure your PC meets theminimum st<strong>and</strong>ard.
